Oh those are ace!!! My grandma always had them on her tree, and I was wondering why we (=the kids) weren't allowed to have those sweets. :D

Really?! We were always allowed to eat them. But we also were allowed to drink a Pfiff (for the non-Austrians, that's a tiny glass of beer, about 1/8 litre) with dinner once in a while, champaign on New Year's eve or the odd glass of egg-liquor. I think it was our parents' way of making alcohol not interesting for us once we were teenagers :D

Got my prezzie in the mail last night, and it's safe to say my SS did quite a bit of research on me. As I stood in my kitchen opening the package, I was simply in awe. I had never heard of the 'Mad World' cd and listened to it this morning. Simply awesome. My little man will be listening to that tonight when he falls asleep. The entire cd is just mindblowing. The new Blind Melon boot will be saved for a special day, as that boot just simply brought back such a rush of emotions from long, long ago that I couldn't bring myself to listen just yet. A true reminder of another life, time, and love. The other items represent other bands that I'm sure I've listed somewhere as favorites, so this person was dead-on with my gift. Know that the magnet is on my beer fridge out in my garage and will not come down. Ever.

Whoever my SS was, I'd like to thank you for a great gift. I now know where you live, but I don't know your first name. Please fill in the last piece of the puzzle for me. Many thanks again! I will never forget it. Cheers!

Mine took several weeks to get there, the US that is.(I think...can't remember exactly when I sent it...just that I spent over an hour in the post office as there was a massive queue!).

And for all you worriers, I still got nothin. Unless 10c didn't ship my hoodie, and that was from my SS, in which case...thanks! :D

  • well i received my santa gift today, and i think there may be a mistake? it looks like i was meant to get 2 $10 giftcards to michaels crafts? there is a 'receipt' in the envelope that says as much, and has some guys name/addy on the top as the purchaser. then, there are 2 different store cards with the giftcards inside each. one has a message preprinted to me and also '$10'....however, the other card has a message to someone named kathy, with a brief message and love l*****..and it says '$50'.....so i would assume this is meant to be someone else's gift?

now, it says that the 'secret' is out in my card, but there really are no 'clues' as to who my santa is. i have a guys real name, and a girls first name in the other card, but don't recognize either....nor any usernames included, so i am at a loss. none the less, santa, whoever you are....let me know b/c i think you may want the $50 gift card back to give to whomever it was intended? let me know. i would've PMed, but as i don't know who you are...i hope you see this.

i got another package today, this time with a small note and the NJ 2006 night 2 bootleg. :) i was there. :)

i still don't know who my santa is tho...i just have a guy's first name.
    Stay with me...

Can you do some investigation? See out of all the guys involved who's names have already gone as sending presents?

Oh wait...not everyone has as much time on their hands as me. :o

:D Why doesn't globalisation work properly with chocolate? You don't get the liquor bottles and I don't get anything from Reese's over here. We could trade though ;)

Ok I promised pictures and I finally took the time to take them today.
Here is what I got from my SS.
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/mindid/DCP11613.jpg
The candle holder, with a yummy cinnamon scented candle(I have been burning this at night in my room),the towel(a big yummy fluffy towel. I won't share this with anyone, all of our other towels are $1.50 ones from WM. This is MINE!), and the cosmetic bag(Oilily brand too :O) that had the lotion and shower gel in it. My kids love the lotion because it is shimmering and they like to be sparkley LOL!!
Sort of better shot of the candle holder. It is sooo pretty and when it is lit at night it sparkles all over my room since it has the holes all in it. I was going to take a picture of the candle but it is almost melted :(
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/mindid/DCP11614.jpg

Anyway I absolutely LOVE everything! My kids even fought over the bags the stuff came in!!
I read my card and my secret Santa was Linda!!! She really really outdid herself!!!! Thank you sooo much for really making my holiday. :D

And of course I sent mine late and I know it won't be there before Christmas, but it is on its way. I know it will get held up in customs probably :( I am sorry I sucked at my ss job.

PM me how many packages of liquor bottles you want, then I'll go on a hunt on the 27th (I'm travelling on the 24th when the shops are still open until noon and they stay closed until the 27th).

I just wanted to let my Secret Santa know that the postie has been today, Christmas Eve, and it still isn't here yet. HOWEVER, I have great faith that Secret Santa has sent it to me :) and that evil Australia Post and Australian Customs have held it up. SO I just wanted to say, don't worry, coz I'm not. :)
It'll probably get here next week. Anyway, whoever you are, Merry Christmas and thank you in advance! :)

Oh and I've been so focused on my Secret Santa gift getting to its destination (it doesn't seem that it has yet! ) that I keep forgetting that Secret Santa is coming my way. :o

I just want to add that I am very excited to open mine, but I've held out this long so I am going to wait until Christmas! Only one day to go! :)
