You gotta admit, it was a hell of a game though. When Crain came in and had the bases loaded, I thought it was over. That diving stop by Rodriguez was awesome.
It was! It just pisses me off they bring this bum in. They guy has proven he cannot get poeple out consistantly. Timlin couldnt have gone another inning? WTF? These are the games you have to win (same can be said for the Twins, but I am not a Twins fan :)).

They should have kept the rookie in. He was throwing GAS!!

Good to see some traffic here guys. The pitching was very solid last night by both teams until the 12th. What a heartbreaker.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

RSN has been in effect here in Atlanta the last 2 games. It's great going to the ballpark and seeing more Sox fans than Braves fans. I love this quote from Jeff Francouer:

"You never expect anything like that at home. When David Ortiz hit a home run and got a standing ovation, that kills you in the outfield. When the Red Sox get louder cheers than you do, it's frustrating. There's no other way to put it."

As they said on sportscenter tonight: "Hey, didn't you used to be the Atlanta Braves"

I love the following that the Sox get all around. Hearing chants for the Sox at Yankee Stadium was the best but I've heard it elsewhere. The biggest sea of Sox fans I've ever seen outside Fenway was at Camden Yards in 2003. It seemed that the Sox fans outnumbered O's fans 2-1. Good times.

Much love for the Boston fans with thier show of suport for Pedro.
  • 12 Straight, tied for record for errorless baseball, first place in the division, pitching is comming together, defense is stupid good and EVERYBODY is contributing with the bat, I love it. One of my favorite quotes of late is from Dennis Eckersley, "before you know it they are gonna be stealing bases, it's the only thing left for them to do"
Now if only somebody could figure out that crazy good AL Central... three teams on an absolute tear. The Red Sox have to win their division this year because the wild card is def. comming from the central at this rate.
I was taught a month ago to bide my time and take it slow, but then I learned just yesterday to rush and never waste a day. Now I'm convinced the whole day long that all I've learned is always wrong. Things are true that I forget, but no one taught that to me yet

Of course the Sox decide to end the win streak on the day I return from vacation. I was on a cruise to the Caymans and Jamaica and the ESPN on the ship had ESPN in Spanish without baseball highlights so I didn't know how the Sox were doing. I hear that they are winning every game so I decide to follow the scoreline last night and they finally lose. I guess I'm bad luck. Anyway, they seem to be pulling it all together and playing really well. Hope things keep up down the stretch.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

I totally forgot to watch the game. I was playing cards at a friends house and just got home and saw that the Sox lost in 11 innings.

Not too good of a turnout for Boston. I always cringe when the two headed monster of Tavarez/Seanez takes the hill.

Looks as if the Sox are trying to blow their All-Star break lead in a hurry.

Papelbon looked pretty nasty with the splitter this evening. Good to see the offense is clicking at least. Good win after an awful loss yesterday to Seattle.

    I jinxed them. ha ha...

They are in their first slump of the year. They will snap out of it. They got 7 left with NY...all is not lost.

They are doing what the Yanks did about a month and half ago.

    No worries.

Actually they have 9 left - a 5 game series next weekend and a 4 game series in September (each series has a double header).
