Injuries I won't cheer for, but suspensions I will gladly take. Thanks Ortiz.

And one other question, why can't you guys fight? First varitek with his mask, then youk with his helmet throwing followed by getting body slammed now Ortiz throws a punch that missed by 3.2 miles. Come on guys, if your gonna act tough and fight, at least don't embarrass yourself.

You know its bad when the Phillies fans stick up for us.

Oh yeah, and Clemens was real mature for throwing that half a bat at Mikey Pizza all those years ago. Revisionist history as always from the Yankee fans.

Remember all the nonsense we heard from the Yanks fans in early April ... remember when FenwayFaithful had to be talked off the ledge ... several times?

Well ... here we are at the break and the standings ...

    East - - - - - - - - - - W - L - Pct
    Boston Red Sox - - - 55 - 35 - .611
    New York Yankees - - - 53 - 35 - .602
    Tampa Bay Rays - - - 49 - 41 - .544
    Toronto Blue Jays - - - 45 - 47 - .489
    Baltimore Orioles - - - 36 - 52 - .409

    2 - 10 to start the season, 53 - 25 since (about a .700 winning percentage)

This is while every member of the starting rotation has missed at least one start. Lost Crawford for a good stretch ... I mean, so much hasn't gone according to plan and they have the best record in the AL. Sure doesn't feel like it.

Yet, nothing to get too excited about ... there is still a looooong way to go.

Trade deadline coming up ... it's about to get real interesting.

Remember that the Yankees still have a few make up games, also. It's going to be an exciting pennant race this summer.

If there's anyone on this thread that's not going to PJ20, I have two tickets to the Sept. 3 game vs. Texas Rangers that I'd like to trade for another weekend game. I live in enemy territory (NYC), so it's hard to make it to weekday games. My tickets are right field grandstand aisle seats (section 2) -- next to the bleachers (fun!), facing the field (no neck strain) and covered (bring on the rain delay!). I'd like to trade for similar seats (outfield grandstands or bleachers).

I have a post on Boston CL, but people are understandably leery about doing a trade through the mail, so I figured I'd see if anyone here was willing to make the swap. PM me if interested. Thanks.

Yes, I was very frustrated at the beginning of the season. It's all documented. I'm much better now.

So I was at Fenway yesterday afternoon with my dad. First game for me in almost 2 years. The new mega screens are amazing. I feel reborn walking up to the field level from the concourse. They've done so much work on that place its incredible.

Oh and I just saw we're interested in Garza.

I know they have been interested in a pitcher (have been said to be interested in Ubaldo along with everyone else) too but do they empty out the farm after Agon? Seems like a lot. I don't see it.

Blown oppertunity after after a leadoff double and inability to move the runner over. Come on man.....pitchers rule in this game so far.
