    no way do the yanks catch boston this year no way ,but i still hate boston at least i'm a realist about our team here in NY ....TORRE will be fired no doubt .....

    That was lucky for the Sox. I definitely would have settled for 2-2 in this series.

    The nightcap was a disaster. Smoltz has never allowed a run in his 20+ innings pitched in Boston. 14-0 is a killing.

    Good thing today that the Sox have always seemed to own Hudson, even when he's having great years. I was quite surprised that we used alot of our bullpen studs today in Snyder, Okajima and Paps going into the Yanks series.

    Good win over the braves yesterday. I'll take 2-1 against them. I was at a a game last year or the year before where the Sox got to Smoltz. Can't expect to beat him every time, that's for sure.

    I can't remember the last tiem we went 5 games up on the yanks in the standings in 5 days. My sister in law called me up and said they got sox/yanks tickets for this weekend. I told her to call back and brag when she got tix to a better divison game like with the Blue Jays or Orioles.
