  • How did I miss this thread? This is my biggest pet peeve in the world. Pure laziness is all it is. Granted, state -side everything is waaayyy spread out so you're gonna need a car to get around most of the time, but I saw so many people over there who would just drive a distance that would take 5 minutes to walk. And it's not like they have to move anything big either.

    When I was in Philadelphia the hostel I stayed in was about a mile from the nearest bus stop. when we first arrived a nice lady driving by offered us a lift down. We gladly accepted as we had big heavy rucksacks with us, but the way she was talking about it you'd think we were about to walk across the country. It's only a frikkin mile. Most every day I'll walk or cycle that and more without even thinking about it..
