ok my free Oyster card has arrived... i am going to add credit to it online... how much is the train to Wembley and shit like that? can i easily add more to it when i'm in London? and why are women so gorgeous and stuff?oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0

Fares guide is here http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/TfL-Fares-April-2007.pdf
Wembley is in Zone 4 but here is a tube map so you can work out what zones you are using http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/colourmap.pdf
Check the Oyster caps as if you are doing several journeys in a day there is a maximum you will be charged (similar to having a day travelcard)
You can have your card automatically top up but as you will only be using it for a couple of days I think topping it up at a tube station would be your best bet. As you swipe it at barriers it will tell you how much is left on it so you will know when you are getting to the point you need to top up.So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?0 -
you didnt answer my last question chimicus
but muchos gracias for the other info... i knew i could top-up online but i dont want to put £30 on and then be left with £20 credit i'll probably never use.. you know how it is :rolleyes:oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -

Oyster does not work on trains (a bloody pain that is believe me! it's going to change, but god knows when  ).
so if you plan at all to use the trains and not just Bus/tube, you're better off buying a day travelcard.
the barrier displays what's left when you go in, and what's been charged and what's left when you go out (just the last part on buses).0 -
The whole tube-being-the-tube and the train-being-something-completely-different business is so damn confusing.Binary solo..0000001000001111000011100
