What was your last big purchase?

Just bought a 60 inch 1080p plasma and hung it on my wall last weekend. I have never spent so much money and had absolutely no buyer's remorse...it looks insanely awesome.
Funny thing is that the first movie I watched on it was "Into the Wild" (downloaded a version of it) and thought it was quite ironic that I was watching a movie about getting rid of material things on a $4k plasma.

um I think my last big purchase was in sept...a trek all carbon frame road bike. I don't like to think about how much it cost...(though it was considerably less than $4000 )
this is funny though, it's weird how people value things...when I told my dad how much my bike cost me, he freaked out that I spent so much on it, yet he thinks it's perfectly normal to spend that much or more on a TV.
and...........
my trip to San Diego!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You mean "grammar" ?
But I just got my tax return and am thinking of buy a new 42inch LCD. I have a small 27 incher now, and have been in the stages of buying a new TV for about 4 years now, but every time I go to buy one I always talk myself out of it...but baseball season is coming up and I think this might be the year I take the big plunge
wow I always go to the Apple store and dream about having one of those. those are very nice

"They say that I'm flying on a non-stop flight. Well I don't like the sound of that! I demand that my flight makes a stop, preferably at the airport I was flying to. It's those sudden mountain range stops that seem to put a damper on my day." GC
For me it would be my VIP package to ROO along with my trip to Cali to see EV. Of course I still need to book that trip. All in due time.

"FUCK YOU! THAT"S MY NAME!"
Well, it wasn't a purchase per se, but he'll cost me more than anything else that I own in the long run
was like a picture

I hear that!
Just bringing one of those little things home requires so much expensive crap!
oh, the joys...
just why I'm in no hurry to own a home! sorry to hear that.
thanks GTD... it wasn't so bad... the roofing project was planned, it was only the chimney that was a surprise! it's a good thing i got a good price for the roof... the extra cost for the chimney just brought it up to match the other quotes i received....
i guess it's all about balance...
don't be scared to buy a house... this was the first unexpected item i've run into in 5 years...
ok... the one day last winter when my furnace broke down was a little unexpected. Had to sleep in a touque and mittens for one night, before the repair man could come...
oh, and when my fridge quit, and i had to buy a new one...
damn, i guess it's worse than i thought!

OMG, so jealous. Actually on the way to guitar center now to just mess around with some stuff I'm not going to buy.
well I don't think I have to worry, there's no way I can buy one anyway!
Yeah it's a great guitar! I actually bought that a little under a year ago. I guess my last big purchase would be all the money I'm spending using it in the studio. The guitar shines through in the mix though.. doesn't matter how many other things are going on at the time, you can always clearly hear it.
I had to have them.
OH, the role playing to come. (Good pun.)
I think i will go out and buy myself some $1,500 shoes today........:D
Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me

I'd *almost* sell my child for a pair of those.
