    Hockey sucks right now. Golf is hot right now. Just facts to deal with in life. Hockey always was and will be enjoyed in a live setting, and not on TV.

    Comparing the ratings to prior hockey seasons or to the NBA does not help your case that hockey is hot right now.

    By the way, golf is the ultimate sport. You do not depend on anyone but yourself. (I don't even play unless you count Golden Tee! Hhahhaha)

    Hockey TV ratings are somewhat misleading though because obviously they take into account the whole country. The fact is that in hockey markets, especially Philly, New York, Detroit and Colorado, hockey does rather well in the ratings. It's when you factor in some of the southern states and plains states where no one watches hockey so the ratings suck overall.

    As for golf I enjoy playing it but other than the last 9 holes or so of a Major why or how does anyone watch golf?

    from start to finish, i guess the only thing really good to watch on tv, is a missionary sex position filmed in the classic mid-1980's era with the male and female actors both being in sound physical shape and having the body hair situation under control. elegant lighting is key.

    anything else, aside from the superbowl (12% of the time) and csi miami (greatest show ever) is piss to watch.

    I'm not saying he's an iron man, I'm saying he has raised the level of pay for the entire PGA. Walking 4 miles every round may not be a marathon (lot's of fat bastards including me do it), but it wouldn't be fun with a bum knee.
