 I don't hate Tiger.....he just annoys me
Any sport where you can smoke and drink soda in between is not exactly an athletic event
I just don't care for Golf
Being able to smoke and drink during it is a plus for many people. Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
 And I don't feel right when you're gone away0

 Hey !
Thats for energy and not on the ice during play
You can't compare Hockey to Golf as far as athletes are concerned

The argument as to whether golf is a "sport" or just a "game" will never be resolved...I lean towards game myself and there are many Craig Stadler/John daly types who are by no means "athletes". There are also plenty of MLB pitchers (Sidney Ponson, David Wells, Rich "El Guapo" Garces, Bartlololololo Colon, et al) who would not be mistaken for "athletes" when seen at the local McDonald's. Shit even the great babe Ruth had a body built by hot dogs and beer.Phantom Pain wrote:You're not a Hockey fan either ??

But I bet Tiger Woods is in better physical condition than most if not all the players in the NHL.This weekend we rock Portland0

 I disagree with that !
An 82 game schedule plus playoffs possibly playing into June
 No way !
How many days or weeks in between tournaments for Golfers ?
Golf is more of a mental game...not physical..mentally you can be drained but come on Hockey guys go months in playing very physical gameMy drinking team has a hockey problem

You think Tiger sits on the couch Mon-Wed, then just swings his club 69 times Thur-Sun?
The man is a physical specimen who has a regimented workout and diet program on top of his mental game. This weekend we rock Portland0

The difference is you don't have to be like Tiger to succeed in golf
Hockey Players have to be in great shape or you're not going to cut it for 82 games and playoffsMy drinking team has a hockey problem

How is making golf into a new commercialized consumer driven sport better? Tiger has just turned it into another sideshow like basketball, etc.Gremmie95 wrote:Tiger is a phenom. Watching the game last night, I was amazed at the superior athletic prowess of hockey players. Unbelievable what shape these guys are in; and sheer toughness. Guy got hit in the face with a puck and came back out.Phantom Pain wrote:The difference is you don't have to be like Tiger to succeed in golf

jealousy or racism... or a combination since he gets to bang a hot white woman everynight... i dont consider golf a sport (cause its leisurely like bowling or bocce ball) but i will admit hes very professional and driven at what he does and he seems like a very friendly guy as well from interviews ive seen... besides hes right... hockey has as much of a follow in the US as soccer... ironically theyre both low scoring and can end in a tie (which america never settles for)... i bet if you got rid of the goalie in both sports and allowed more contact and fighting it would catch on here... oh and soccer has to fix its fuckin clock... counting up?! wtf?... and get rid of "offsides" because that rule seems to ruin some sweet fast break opportunities and i dont get itTrixieCat wrote:How does someone hate Tiger Woods??0

watching golf = is tiger wearing red? i'd watch it for as long as I'd watch the Kentucky Derby...2.5 minutes. granted, most of the national golf audience are from FL and AZ and they watch it because they're old retirees who take a day off from the links.
watching hockey = athletic poetic ballet in the midst of a ice box, with the occasion head on collision and fight.I love to turn you on0
