    focus.

    it's spring training.
  • I just saw it scroll by that the Niners got Foster to back up Gore.

    Super Bowl here we come...
    lol,good luck with that.

  • Kris Jenkins - DL - Panthers

Jets acquired Kris Jenkins for third- and fifth-round picks in the 2008 draft.
Both FoxSports and ESPN has confirmed the news. It remains uncertain if the Jets will restructure Jenkins' contract. New York is taking a risk, and has been surprisingly willing to give up picks in the Mangini era, but Jenkins should fit their scheme well and replace Dewayne Robertson. Feb. 29 - 3:48 am et

Do you really think signing Samuel is necessary? we didn't lose games last year because our corners couldn't cover anyone. he's not even big, that doesn't help us in NFC east, with Buress and Owens.

    the Bills signed Kawika Mitchell.

i was so happy to see they got him and didn't spend more money on Briggs...

    now for that Stroud visit...

    Esther's here and she's sick?

hi Esther, now we are all going to be sick, thanks
  • Why any team would sign a Patriot free agent is beyond me. Haven't the teams in the league seen what happens to Pats players who move from the Pats to other teams for big pay days.

    Garbage.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

  • bitter?

Not really. I'm a Dolphins fan in Massachusetts. Just seeing the list of ex-Pats signed by other teams and then seeing the performance of those players. WOW!! Why would you want to even sign a guy that the Pats let go?

If the team that has been the best over the last 7 years is letting someone go and making no attempt to bring them back that should send up some red flags.

    Lawyer Malloy
    David Givens
    Deion Branch
    Damion Woody

The list goes on and on.

Chris Redman signs a 2 year deal with the Atlanta Falcons. It seems that the Louisville alumnus impressed enough folks to write him in for the starting QB job in Atlanta next year.

Now, get an OL and protect that man!
Do you remember Rock & Roll Radio?
  • Chris Clemons - DL - Raiders

The Eagles are in pursuit of free agent DE/OLB Chris Clemons.
Clemons would be a situational pass rusher if he landed with Philadelphia. The Birds seem currently to be focusing their efforts on Asante Samuel. Feb. 29 - 3:26 pm et

  • I find it amusing that I was called dumb by people from Philly. I'm not shitting on your pick-up. I just think spending that much money on a corner back is not how you build a winning football team. You win games with offensive and defensive line play.

Just look at the Super Bowl. The Giants secondary, according to most football experts, was awful. They dominated the game at the line and that in turn covered up the weakness in the secondary. When the Pats won their back to back Super Bowls their dominance came from their front 7 on defense.

I actually respect the Eagles and what they've done. For that period when they were always in the NFC title game they basically had the same record as the Pats. The only difference was the Super Bowl wins.

By the way, those players that I listed were big contributors to their 3 Super Bowl wins.

This signing might work out for the Eagles because of the safeties that they have.

I just wouldn't pay that much money for a corner.

Go ask Denver how that working out for them.

They really do blow. What makes it worse is that I live in Patriots utopia. The sounds of silence at the Super Bowl party I was at, with 20 Pats fans, was heaven. If only you could have seen and heard it. I heard for four and a half months that this was the greatest team ever and to have it crammed down their throats was a memory that I'll have till the day I die.

I fall into the camp where you don't need top tier players at certain positions to succeed. You need good coaching, good line play, and good QBing.

The Pats won titles with Randell Gay and Earthwind Mooreland as CB's.

I don't know the Eagles that well, I mean was that a huge need for them that it would be worth the 25 million bonus and a contract of that size.

    Samuel Deal in Place

Comcastsportsnet.com is now reporting the Birds have a deal in place with Asante Samuel.
    __________

Howard Eskin is reporting the Eagles will announce the signing of former Raider defensive end Chris Clemons within the next 24 hours. Notes on Clemens:

Chris Clemons, a 26-year-old defensive end in his first year with the Raiders, racked up eight sacks with only two starts last season. Clemons' career-high total tied veteran Derrick Burgess for highest on the team.

Last year was the first in Clemons' four-year career where he suited up for all 16 games in a campaign. The former undrafted free agent from Georgia started his career in Washington, where he took part in 16 games from 2003-05. With the Redskins, the 6-foot-3 defender registered just 16 tackles, but he did manage five sacks and two batted down balls in very limited time.

In 2007, Clemons very quietly -- but hastily -- emerged as one of the team's best pass rushers. The 240-pounder recorded three tackles and a sack in an opening-day loss to the Detroit Lions, kicking off what would later become a career season. Clemons didn't take down another quarterback until Week 7, but he managed to do so six more times in the final 10 weeks of the season. In his lone two starts, he recorded three tackles, three sacks and one forced fumble.

"He's been great," nearly fired defensive coordinator Rob Ryan told the Oakland Tribune in late November. "That guy works his butt off. Nobody knew who he was when he (came) here. Now, he jumps out at you. He's a dominant, hard-working guy. Pound for pound, there are not many tougher than him."

what it will do is make lito available for a trade. he isn't happy and has made it known. We can then package him a pick and maybe another player to move up in draft or get a beast wr like fitz,r williams.

How about this one ?????

    http://arrowheadaddict.com/2008/02/29/rumor-jared-allen-to-eagles/

According to the report on Fox Sports Radio, the Eagles are prepared to send their first round draft pick (#19) and their fourth round pick plus Sheppard in exchange for Jared Allen.

Now we can’t confirm this report by any means this late at night. But we’re told by and NFL source that KC is entertaining offers for Allen. At the moment Allen is out of the country so trading him before he gets back to the State would bode well for any deal to simmer to a high boil before Allen could react to it
