that was awesome. im a huge spider-man fan but this batman movie will be the best comic book movie ever and ledger looks to be the best joker. have to see all of dark knight but i dont think jack will be holding that joker title for too much longer.

Let's hope they decided to kill off the Joker in this movie instead of the Joker being in the third movie too....because if they haven't killed him off, there's going to be A LOT of editing going on at the moment.

not really. im sure he gets caught and put in arkham asylum. so in the third movie just have someone blow it up or something. joker dies and no one has to ever try to compare with ledgers joker.

i'm excited to see this movie. i saw them filming part of it one day when i was in chicago for lolla. it'll be interesting to see how they market it now...if that changes at all...since i think a lot of it was going to center around the joker. he looks pretty bad@ss in that role!!!

Poor Heath looks awesome in it. I heard a reporter saying this role my well put him into legendary status. Im still so upset my was has happened over the last day or 2. R.I.P Heath

I was watching Batman Begins over the weekend, and when all the inmates escaped from the asylum, I immediatley thought that that would be a great back story for The Joker. He escaped in Batman Begins and is now going to off Scarecrow and become the main villian for TDK. Maybe they set up Harvey Dent to become Two Face here and set up the third movie.

well in most of the joker back stories batman is in some way responsible for the creation of the joker. most of them go like this in some from.

something with the red hood, batman shows up, person ends up in acid, and birth of the joker.

so maybe when he escaped batman chased him down and because of that ended up in acid.

It's been said that TDK is based on The Long Halloween, but more centred on Joker. Read the Long Halloween wikipedia page and it's not exactly hard to guess how everything pans out (although with 2 Face probably not showing up til the end to make way for the next film).

the batman series is the ONLY comic-book movies i like. i know i am rather alone in my love of val kilmer as batman....but since christian bale joined ranks, i think he is by FAR the best of all. so hell yes, i really look forward to this flick! bittersweet seeing ledger's final film role, but from the previews he looks to be stellar and i've heard rumors he puts nicholson's 'joker' to shame by comparison!
