It's my real name. I used to post on another music message board, I used the name "Mills Lane", and I posted on another board and there I used yet another name... then I found this and just used my on name because I didn't want to use those other names...
    THANK YOU, LOSTDAWG!

I am a huge fan of Matthew Good and the song Middle-Class Gangsters is one of my favorites off of the "Underdogs" album. When I used MSN, I used to be Middle-Class Gangster as a nod to the song and because I thought it was funny, it was eventually shortened to MCG and there you have it.
    Which came first,
the bad idea or me befallen by it?

    Gender: Feminine

    Usage: Irish, Irish Mythology

    Pronounced: EE-fa [key]

Means "beauty" from the Gaelic word aoibh. In Irish legend Aoife was a warrior princess. In war against her sister Scathach, she was defeated in single combat by the hero Cuchulainn. Cool! I always loved the Pogues song 'The Sick bed of cuchulainn'

Mccormack and richard tauber are singing by the bed
Theres a glass of punch below your feet and an angel at your head
Theres devils on each side of you with bottles in their hands
You need one more drop of poison and youll dream of foreign lands

When you pissed yourself in frankfurt and got syph down in cologne
And you heard the rattling death trains as you lay there all alone
Frank ryan brought you whiskey in a brothel in madrid
And you decked some fucking blackshirt who was cursing all the yids
At the sick bed of cuchulainn well kneel and say a prayer
And the ghosts are rattling at the door and the devils in the chair

And in the euston tavern you screamed it was your shout
But they wouldnt give you service so you kicked the windows out
They took you out into the street and kicked you in the brains
So you walked back in through a bolted door and did it all again
At the sick bed of cuchulainn well kneel and say a prayer
And the ghosts are rattling at the door and the devils in the chair

You remember that foul evening when you heard the banshees howl
There was lousy drunken bastards singing billy is in the bowl
They took you up to midnight mass and left you in the lurch
So you dropped a button in the plate and spewed up in the church

Now youll sing a song of liberty for blacks and paks and jocks
And theyll take you from this dump youre in and stick you in a box
Then theyll take you to cloughprior and shove you in the ground
But youll stick your head back out and shout well have another round
At the graveside of cuchulainn well kneel around and pray
And God is in his heaven, and billys down by the bay

no its not about teeth....i stole it from my son.

his name is christopher and when he was born, my 15 month old nephew couldnt pronounce it, so he called him sistoofer. toof stuck.

few years later, i used both my kids name as my first internet name...toofkirsti. of course, people werent gonna type that out, so i became toof. and it stuck...even in the 3d world.

so now i am toof or momma toof and my son is lil toof or toofy. it was a little confusing when he still lived at home. people called n asked for toof and not know which one. and since i am christina, asking for chris didnt work either. (it got REAL confusing when his gf moved in cuz her name is kristina. we had a christina, christopher, kristina and a kirsten)

I'm one of those people who has always been given nicknames. I probably have a dozen or so nicknames. Anyway, one night my buddy and I were watching "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". In Spicoli's dream about winning a surf contest, Stu Nahan asks, "A lot of people expected either Mark "Cutback" Davis or Bob "Jungle Death" Gerard to take the honors this year." My buddy turns to me and says "You're cutback from now on." I use it online because it is rarely used so it makes it easy to remember.

This is the only board I have joined. I have recently made the leap from dial up to high-speed. Did not spend a lot of time on-line with the dial up, if you can imagine. Before joining the Pit, I did create an account at youtube with the name vedderisapoet (for obvious reasons) and a different name for something else, etc ...wish I would have stopped and just used one name for everything. Would have made life more easier but then again I lack common sense at times :O

I wanted to be OceansMichelle but did not want to seem like i was copying OceansJenny. I love the ocean and the song of course.

so this is what I came up with under pressure-
I love to read books hence book
and I am constantly reflecting on things hence muse.

well, i'm not very creative when it comes to naming things, so i went with my name, which i've grown to like, especially after spending 6 months between nepal and india, where i was told at least once a day that my name meant 'star' in hindi, plus tara is a tibetan bodissatva known generally as the saviouress, she is sort of there for the masses, she has 21 incarnations, green tara is my favorite, she is the deity of compassion, and in mythology is a very approachable deity (as vs say durga (who is hindu), who has a very nasty temper). a bodisatva is someone who has attained enlightenment but chooses to stay on earth to help others, tara has devoted her life to the development of women, so she's sort of the feminist deity, she was born of some famous male bodhisattva's tears. not quite what my parents had in mind when they named me
plus, how can i remember screen names for my various emails, logins, and message boards, so tara it is
