    I'm sure he's an OK guy, but his movies are pure trash. I guess they're funny if you're younger than 14, but whatever...

    He was great at first, but after three or four movies of playing basically the same character it got old.

    He did great in Old School and his small part in Wedding Crashers was hilarious.

    He tries way too hard to be funny and ends up sounding like an obnoxious idiot. He was pretty funny in Old School though the movie is very overrated and his short part in Wedding Crashers was pretty funny but other than that I do not like him either. He plays the same role in every movie and people are eating it up. I just dont understand.

    He does tend to play the same character in most of his movies, but some make far better use of it than others. Anchorman was great for that.
    Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

    I saw Step Brothers last weekend and did laugh my ass off a couple of times. One time I was still giggling well into the next scene.

    I don't see a Will Farrell movie for deep drama and variation in his acting skills, I see it because I know it will be silly and brainless.

    edit - for the sake of comparison, here's what i consider funny:

    Seinfeld (but it got AWFUL the last 2 seasons, once Larry David left)
    Curb Your Enthusiasm (but i think its starting to get old too)
    The Office (this is Steve Carell being funny! he is terrible in Anchorman, along with everyone else)
    Borat (never laughed so hard in my life the first time, but not the kind of movie you can watch over and over)
    Dumb and Dumber
    The Big Lebowski
    Dave Chappelle
    Chris Rock standup
    and i wanna hate Seth Rogen, but he has really won me over

    personally i think he is funny but not in a lead role, he needs a funny support cast as well, and then even he is not like really funny, old school is hilarious because of Vince Vaughn by the way.

    I think you are crazy. I can't believe you would say that if you ever watched him on SNL doing the Blue Oyster Cult thing. Will Ferrell is great. I loved him in Elf.

    If anyone hasn't seen Stranger Than Fiction you should check it out. That is a great movie.

    Will Ferrell is ace and so are his movies. They are just good fun.

    Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office & Borat on the other hand are some of the unfuniest things I have seen. They annoy the shit out of me.

    i dont find him very funny either. i liked his janet reno on snl and celebrity jeopardy was the best thing going at the time. i think darrel hammond was the bigger part of it being funny though.

    other than that i cant stand his stuff much. step brothers was ok. but i actually find non-comedic actors funnier than him most of the time.

    im a fan of wit, and ferrell isnt very witty.

    I liked Anchorman alright (went into it with no expectations well after it was released; good method for hyped-up films) and his bit on Eastbound and Down, but I just don't get the rabid love for him.
