it's so simple, most people find it impossible to grasp.

"No recording of any kind" actually means NO RECORDING OF ANY KIND.

You put it up, it's coming down.

Most 5 year olds can figure it out....

so you have no pj dvd bootlegs?? that's just weird

but um thanks for your input of the obvious...lmao!

i went over the posted speed limit on my way to work today. damn

I see you're still struggling with it.

Did 10C contact the OP about a PJ video or an Eddie Vedder solo video?

    2 entirely different things...

10C contacted the OP about an ev solo video

the video in question is NOT a Pearl Jam video. Even though the thread title is requesting information about PJ's policy for a PJ show, 99.9% of the posts after the original question are bitching about EV solo stuff... the OP has also mixed up the 2 and -that's- what I'm finding so frustrating.

Yeah, I might get banned for this, but....You are not the sharpest tool in the shed are you? Your posts on here are LUDICROUS. Maybe you are a troll or something and I am falling for it here, but I really hope you are not serious. The way you describe "needing" the Vic show and how you question someone's fanaticism because they haven't violated Eddie's video or audio recording policy is not only a bit creepy, but just plain immature and pathetic. Get a life, listen to other bands, or something.....
I hold the pain, release me!

Oh good, you are lurking. Judging by your boardname, am I wrong to assume you have a liking of the Dead, a band that basically allowed recording of every note they ever played. Do you think that Eddie needs to follow suit? And, by the way, being able to cathartically unload a little frustration would make my day

First of all, I do own several official PJ DVD's. Secondly, my response is to what YOU said and what YOU condone, not what Eddie did or said or thinks or likes or whatever!!!!! You are one of those folks that argue like my 8 year old; as soon as he feels cornered or that he might get exposed for being full o' shit, they make it about what someone else has done or said, taking the focus off themselves. Even my 8 year old is learning this doesn't really work, sorry you are a little late with this particular lesson.

I've heard & read that the camera flashes and lights negatively impacted the experience of a very special & intimate Vic Theatre Show in Chicago 2007.

Maybe Eddie Vedder hoped to inspire people to feel & experience a profound connection that only music can create.

OP (me) wasn't talking about video... although now that I think back to April, they made me take that down too (from the Berkeley show). I was talking about fan-recorded audio from solo EV shows both times, and I agree with the person who said that people that hunt that out (any audio, whether PJ or EV, I'm assuming a large deal of overlap) are generally rabid fans who would buy the boot anyway. So it seems a bit fruitless to me. But hey. What do I know.

i would say the flashes were a nuisance at the Vic, but they didn't negatively impact the evening as a whole as far as i recall. after eV's request to the crowd, the flashes all but disappeared,...
