let's just say, they didn't do too bad at the box office opening weekend. Having come back from Seattle seeing Rush at the Gorge, I unpacked my bags and casually went to our local movie theatre to catch 6:15Pm show today. To my shock, not only did that show was sold out, but the next two as well!!! I was like, 5 years after show being over??? Really?? Damn!! And this is just a small town movie theatre here in San Mateo, CA mind you. I don't even know what happened in San Francisco???

hey, SOLAT! my sis saw it opening night in the city, and she said it was a madhouse. in a good way, though...

when carried took her sunglasses off in mexico and you saw how red her eyes were...that broke my heart.

one of my friends didnt care for the jennifer hudson character, and thought she was unnecessary...but we discussed it at length after the movie and she changed her mind eventually....she was there to remind carrie of where her journey to find love began- the hopefullness and heartbreak all rolled into one.
ok 1-she effin NAILED that mexxxico scene comPLETELY. You cant do THAT good of a job if you have never felt that way before. I would say that was thee most real moment of the entire movie.

jennifer hudson. Another GREAT moment is when carrie tells louisa that she brought her back to life. awesomeness. I saw it again tonite. :D there were ALOT of dudes in the theatre  poor guys.

    What did Samantha do?
When Charlotte screamed at big as she was taking Carrie back to the limo...it was AWESOME! The look on her face was pure hatred.
And yes, the beating with the bouquet was stellar.

But oh, that Vivienne Westwood dress....I can't wait to see it again Thurs!

And, when Charlotte was screaming at Big I was dying!! hilarious!

"Honey, you shit your pants this year. I think you're done."
drivingrl: "Will I ever get to meet Gwen Stefani?"

    LOVED it!

saw it thursday, i don't think i've ever seen so many women in a movie theatre...bit scary really! :p there were a decent amount of men too, i am sure gaining good brownie points with the wife/GF. ;)

it was exactly what i expected/hoped it to be. sure, rather cliched....sometimes over the top....etc......just like the show. they all looked fabulous, and it was wonderful to see bryant park get so much exposure. :)

i will say, the whole 'wedding dress' montage...i thought the christian dior gown was the best of the lot.....

otherwise......loved it all and will most definitely be buying a copy of the dvd when released, great stuff!
    :D

Saw it this weekend with the wife.

On the plus side- lots of female nudity.

On the down side- No barbed wire in sight to hang myself with.

I thought it was way too long, but my pregnant wife enjoyed it---so what more could I ask for?

Actually, Vera Wang was the first gown of the shoot.
It would have been a crime not to have her, I agree.
