    i love, love, love sex and the city...have every season on DVD. :D
    i truly hope this movie does it justice and doesn't suck. :p normally i am such an optimist, but when it comes to remaking tv series into movies...let's just say, the trackrecord is less than stellar........:o here's to hoping for a good, solid flick! :D

    I expect the fashions to be ridiculous and unrealistic, but I'm looking forward to that SATC humor. <3

    I don't have HBO and one of my co-workers used to tape it for me! I saw the reruns on TBS but it's not the same!

    my friends and i would all get together to watch sex and the city every week. we even made it into a drinking game...you drank every time they said certain words or when your "character" did something that you had/would done/do.

    i'm not sure what we're all going to do for the movie?! i'm sure flasks will be involved :D

    well then, it will be just like a perfect version of the series. :D
    the fashions are ALWAYS ridiculous and unrealistic.......and the humor is almost always brilliant!

    i think my husband secretly wants to see this movie too. :p one of the *perks* of being married i guess, he can blame me for *dragging* him to a chick flick. ;)



    btw - i don't have cable tv, so i have NEVEr seen an episode when it aired. i saw them as released on dvd. i know i got hooked immediately, and i think the first season i watched like 2-3 hours a night, successively....until i saw the enitre season and was itching for more! :p

    NO one should *drag* anyone to see ANY movie. period. it IS perfectly acceptible to go solo...with friends...whatever. if hubby doesn't want to see it, that's exactly what i shall do. :)

    I don't know why you'd want to drag your man to this, unless he's a fan. Would be much more fun with the girls. Cannot wait to see this, opening weekend for sure.

    I'm really looking forward to this movie. I love the show. I still need to get the dvd set..watching it on tbs isn't the same.
    These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

    Zoso agreed to take me to see the movie the first day he gets here :p He watched a few episodes of the series with me and said it taught him a lot about women in their 30's :p I'm using it as a learning tool :D

    this is precisely why monday's were always a struggle for us...we would be wasted!

    ok...maybe we kept drinking after the show ended ;) or we'd watch the new episode and a couple old ones on dvd so the entire group could catch up.

    mr. dream and i were just talking about this flick last night and i mentioned how i thought he secretly may want to see it....and how convenient it is to blame me, etc. he HAs watched many an episode with me and enjoyed the humor, and let's face it...the women are NOT difficult to look at. :p

    exactly! and they're not afraid to show a little skin...especially Samantha :p I think men like it more than they're willing to admit. I've fallen asleep during 2 out of 3 movies that I've seen with zoso (I stayed awake during "Into the Wild" :) ) but I plan to stay awake through this one. In my defense I was majorly jet-lagged :o

    hubby is partial to charlotte......and adores carrie's bod. who wouldn't? :p


    i have NEVER fallen asleep in a movie theatre, my husband does often.....even for flicks HE wants to see. even at home, he's seen a million and one half-movies b/c of it. i could probably count on one hand the amount of flicks i've fallen aslep for at home. normally, they have to be horrific for me to do so an/or i am utterly exhausted. i am serious about my movie-watching. :D

    Must be nice. Most of the men I know think of that show as a bunch of bitter and shallow dribble. :rolleyes:

    well believe me, he has not watched EVERY episode and i am sure wouldn't say it's a fave...but sure, he's laughed and enjoyed it. i think he also enjoyed the frequent semi-nudity, the frank sexual discussions, etc. while sure, over-the-top often enough, it did give a rare glimpse into women's minds and sexual thoughts.....so it really IS a wee bit educational/enlightening if the other gender gives it a shot. :D

    sure, hubby enjoys her frequent display of her assets. ;) however, he's always been partial to brunettes. he doesn't actually like the CHARACTER of charlotte the most, she's far too prudish and a bit of an elitist for his tastes in that sense. i think his *appreciation* is at a far baser level.

    I CANNOT Wait for this movie to come out. Me and my girls are making a night out of going to see it. I miss the show soooooooo much!
