Remember when the guy from Twisted Sister was dj'ing in the morning? That was 104, right?? lol
The only talking they do is the traffic during the hotspot hours. A few commercials and that is it.
It is like my soundtrack. I love it.
    Go back! :)

Ahhhh...I wish I could go back. :) 90s were good times. Tough to get that station where I am though...will give it another shot...
I love to turn you on

Try it because I couldn't really get it that well where I am but it seems like they really amped it up. I bet you could get it in Nebraska. lol

They play lots of pj, coldplay, foo fighters, white stripes, rem and everything I have ever loved pretty much.
I normally do not listen to commercial radio. I love a station around here called WPKN and WPKM. It is in Bridgeport and Long Island. One of the only stations around that is completely funded by the people, for the people.

Oh and 104.1 doesn't play endless amounts of commercials. :)

Do you get the NY stations up there? I checked the playlist for 104.1. They have Eddie #20.

It depends....if I am driving South then most of them come in. But they talk too much. The reason I love this station I mentioned is becasuse there really are no DJs. It is more like xm radio.

This morning I heard Audioslave "Doesn't Remind Me"

I have NEVER heard that on the radio - what a nice little treat! I am liking this station a LOT. However, I still do miss WLIR 92.7. That will always be my favorite.

Yea i heard about Matt. I don't listen to this station much cuz I'm still used to the others. But everytime I tune in I sometimes hear stuff I haven't before. Or at least not something I heard earlier that day. As opposed to the others where it's predictable what song is coming up next.

keep tuning in, even listen on a walkman, the early ratings have not been the greatest.

my car radio only has 6 presets, before this station came along i had k-rock on there, but k-rock is freaking aweful, same crap all the time, so this station took its place! so much better
and although i like 104.3 with the classic rock, my all time favorite was the 104.3 in the 90's with the hard rock. good stuff there!
My favorite Pearl Jam song: "Corporate Greed Boat Asshole Behind a Counter in the Oval Office"

I don't think that's how they do the ratings. They used to give you a little book or something and you'd write in what you were listening to at what time and so on. The arbtron ratings. Now it's going to be a ppm. Where you were a device and i guess it hear what you're listening to. Or you press a button. Who knows? I've only done the arbitron diary. Got paid $10.

o yea. I just started getting into Wnew until they changed formats. It took that station like 5 different formats until they found one that worked.

They played Light Years earlier when I was eating lunch! It was awesome - I love when a station will basically play lesser know tracks.....

    =)
