This thread will disappear once they get swept out of the playoffs again.

so be it, then we start the 2009 thread. there isnt a team out there though that will sweep them in a series. Not this year. The next best team just lost 8 of 9 to them, and 2 series in their OWN house

I'm just messing with ya! K-Rod is clutch!

He'll most likely get 200 career saves this season. He's still 26-years-old.

the way I see it, theres really no reason the Angels shouldn't win it all. They have speed, they now have (more) power, they can manufacture runs, they have starting pitching and they have, arguably, the best closer in baseball. The one weak spot is may be their middle relief, but even that isnt that bad. They have no excuses now.

Mariano is still the best closer.

well doesnt do much good for a team that wont even make the playoffs. let me rephrase then...Frankie is the best closer for any team that matters. Sad thing for the Yankees is they haven't even begun any of their series with the Angels.

Any Angels related thread is doomed to fail. I've done it a few times a few seasons back and they all died quickly as well.

People don't pay attention to west coast baseball, even though that's where it thrives from T-ball up to the pro's.

yeah maybe while partying at some seedy strip clubs after a Yankee sweep...but that's the kind of whipping we like. Victory whips...WOOOO HOOOOOO....... HALO NATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Angel threads dont work because there are three Angel fans that participate, compared to the 2000 Red Sox/Yankee Bandwagoners.

Bring out the brooms! Looks like another sweep for the Angels this weekend!
  • might as well move this up, cause thats what the Angels just did.....again....with this Manny deal.

I'm hoping we have all the injuries (Kendrick, Izturis, Aybar, Figgins, etc) behind us now, and can keep this chemistry we got goin' right on through October. It's a little surprising to me too, seein' how we couldn't score any runs the first half of the season, but were able to squeak by in games. Now we're 11-2 after the break and averaging 7 runs a game. And we haven'r even gotten anything from Texiera yet :D

and that took a lot....coming from a Yankee fan. I respect that

I have to give props to the Yankees. They have kicked our asses this year. They are the team to beat and should be the favorite to win it all.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

what do you mean 'used to saying it'? The Angels are the only team since the the start of the Torre era to have a winning record against the Yankees. The ONLY team :D

well first off i must be honest,, one of my brother's is a closet angels fan
and i have always watched them and liked them to a degree
in fact when i get out to the summer crib tonight ,,their are autographed angels baseballs all over the living room lol

but they do kick the yanks asses so i have to dislike them abit
( plus those fricking monkeys and noise things are very annoying )

but anyway good team there with a good chance for their 2nd title this decade)

its funny...everyone says they HATE the Rally Monkey. I think its cuz the little fucker actually makes a difference a lot. At least it seems that way (witnessed it many times in person)
