I went back and started listening from the beginning of the Sirius years in 2006. I didn't become an everyday listener until around 09. This stuff from when they first started on Sirius is gold. Artie is the best.

Anyone else catch the Pearl Jam reference this morning?

Howard plays It's OK because Spotify recommended it to him. Howard thinks the song is terrible and therefore the Spotify algorithm is fake lol. Fred says that PJ covers that song in a slower version and that probably made it more popular.

I caught it on the replay on the way home... When he started playing it i was like "wait i know that song".
Wow after hearing the original... Who would think to cover it? But PJ's version way better!!!

This is pure speculation, but Hanzi sounded like he was acting and not being genuine so maybe Howard caught onto that and got sick of him.

Wife bought a new car and we can get streaming as well for 3 months . I'm back on Stern. Looking forward to the 7 live shows over the 3 months.

Listening to Mark The Bagger replay now. This guy cracks me up.

LOL. The lack of shows does suck, but just glad he's still around. He was off last week so you may get a few more shows than you're expecting!

Mark the bagger is great. It sucks that so many wack packers have died recently, but there are still plenty of wacko's to go around. Not sure how far back you can go on the app, but check out special people's court if it's available. Wendy was the judge for the feud between elephant boy and hi-pitch erik. Hilarious stuff.

Oh man, Bobo bragging about knowing his multiplication tables is classic Bobo. What a moron.

And the clips they played of Sour Shoes traveling to a show with Shuli on yesterday's show were hilarious. Sour is the best. Need more of him!

Thanks for posting. I can't decide if I feel sorry for him or am annoyed by his sort of whining and want him to go away. Would definitely love him to spend one last day on the show, it would be interesting as hell.

That was a good read. I don't listen to stern much any more. I'll check him out if he has an interesting guest. But other than the interviews, the show got stale for a while. Way too much talk about the same topic for months at a time. But I don't know if there has been a better show (radio and tv) over the past 30 years. Stern is a legend.

Yeah, he's the best. I still listen to every show front to back religiously. Nothing will ever top the Artie years...especially the first 2-3 years on Sirius. But, I still love it.

Yea, the first 3 years with artie were so good. I still remember the days following 9-11 and listening to everyone talk about their personal experiences being right in the middle of that. Especially on 9-12. Artie wasn't there at 6. Hearing him call in and saying he didn't even know if there was going to be a show. He asked Howard if he wanted him to come in and Howard told him if he could get there, to come on in. Within like an hour and a half artie was there.

And hearing arties first appearance on stern with norm is a fucking classic.
