Did you not read the previous post about the game Manhunt 2??? Where you get to slice and dice people with the motion of the controller??? ...They have very adult games. Manhunt, Scarface, Resident Evil, and so on... much more variety.

You can get games like that on playstation without having to put up with the big releases being aimed at school kids though.
People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.

Nintendo has always made consoles for 10 year olds as far as i remember, can never be bothered with games like mario, zelda, donkey kong or any other stupid platform games where you run about collecting gold coins and shit.
Playing Manhunt or GTA will not make your cock any bigger, it will not make you more of a man, it's not "cooler". They are all games, whether youre poppin some guy in the head an jumping into a car or jumping on top of a brightly coloured mushroom. I hate this status bullshit that is in every debate about gaming.

I know they dont, neither does posting sarcastic replies, but playing games where you run around adventure land collecting gold rings and rescuing princesses from big monsters doesnt appeal to me, that is all. I have my opinions about what kind of games i dont like and like, forget the status bullshit you mention. As nintendo seems to host a lot of these childlike games, it doesnt 'kick ass' as the thread title claims. In my opinion obviously.

A 10 year old couldn't complete Mario 64 or Zelda.

I love my 360 but WII looks like a blast.

Did anyone see Run's House where Russy was suppose to buy clothes but bought a Wii instead? The Rev was trying to discipline Russy but ended up playing Wii. I thought that was riot!

The Wii is so much fun, especially when you play with others.

I'll agree that nintendo paid closer attention to younger gaming audiences in the past but clearly, they are changing their policies about that. Even with the gamecube they started to branch out to the older crowd with Metal gear solid, resident evil, call of duty and even more so with the wii supporting Manhunt (which is a infamously violent game, being described as a snuff film) scarface...so forth. So now it seem that instead of just appealing to a young audience, nintendo now has something to offer everyone, covering all ages and maturity.
  • by the way, the legendary version of halo 3 is going to cost $129 dollars. The case is a spartan helmet replica and it comes with two bonus disks.

    129 bucks is fucking crazy!

I have had a 360 since launch, but just picked up a wii last week strictly to be able to play Legend of Zelda again. I was pleasently suprised how fun the wii sports is. First thing was to dl'd all 4 old Zelda games from the vc. It took me about 8 hours to complete the first one and about 13 hours to finish part two, which I had never beat before. Now on to the snes link to the past(the last one I have played and last Nintendo I owned). Trying to play through them in order, apparently Ocrina of Time is the best one but I've never played it, now if Majora's Mask would be released on the virtual console soon and I can find a copy of Wind Waker the collection will be complete. Can't wait to get to Twilight Princess to see how the game takes advantage of the Wii controls.

My sister and I took over the Wii on Sat. and boxed all night long. Our friends were highly amused, as were we. It was so much fun, and actually...a pretty great work out. Haha!

I'm not a fan of video games...but I have to admit that the Wii does kick so much ass.

Yes, but you usually get these games on playstation as well, and i much prefer that console anyway.

I still have my original NES out in the shed but as most people know a 20+ year old system and the Zelda cartridge saved with a watch battery is not the most reliable piece of technology anymore. Plus I haven't played a Zelda game since the SNES 15 years ago, and wanted to play them all which would mean buying a snes (lost mine years ago), n64 and gamecube, plus finding all of the games. Or buy a wii for $250 plus $28 dollars to download 4 of the 7 zelda games. Still have to buy wind waker and twilight princess on discs and just wait for majoras mask to be released on the virtual console for $10.

Seriously ladies and gentlemen. I finally scored one of these things a few weeks ago and I'm just loving it.

    Twilight Princess = Amazing.

Super Paper Mario = Insanely fun and innovative as hell.

Wii Sports = Such a blast. A pack-in game that still remains one of the best for the whole console.

I don't see how Nintendo can lose this particular console war. If you are any kind of a gamer or just a human being with joy in your soul the Wii rules all!

I just picked mine up a few days ago and I'm SO addicted. I've been glued to golf...a friend and I played last night and it was a lot of fun. I still need to play Zelda, Paper Mario and Mario Party 8, but can't stop with the golf! This system is AWESOME and I love how interactive it is. Good times. :D

If you like the golf, you have to get Tiger. It is even better. Sooooooooo addicting.

That's what I've been told, so I think I'll pick that one up this week. The golf in the bundle is a little limited. Still SO fun though! Thanks for the heads up. :)
