    wow jeanie you ask the tough questions. you should be a investigative reporter for your local news. to answer your question, the egg came first, because fish had been laying eggs long before chickens existed.

    yes fish come from eggs my dear but you didnt specify in your question; which came first, chicken or *chicken* egg. you simply asked which came first a chicken or a egg. so in that case, like i said there were fish eggs before there were chickens so, egg.
