Discovering that there's a beautiful park about 5 minutes walk from my apartment with a load of Buddhist temples and a view across the bay.
I also discovered a street a stones throw from my place which is probably the nicest looking street I've seen in Asia. And it has a really nice bar on it in which I'm now sitting, drinking beer, and chatting to the English speaking owner, whilst listening to Leonard Cohen.
Playing Wii with my mom yesterday on Easter Sunday. It was so awesome to teach my mom, who is in her 60s, how to play it. She even wants to get her own! :eek:

I went to see the most humbling film.We Are Together.A documentary about the childrens choir Apage in South Africa.All the children were orphaned by the death of their parents from Aids/HIV.
It was heart breakingly sad but the children were filled with hope for their futures.

my 18 month old g/daughter sitting on the arm of the sofa singing. it must have been singing cause lately shes been holding these one way conversations with herself and this was def something different.(in my house is a distinct advantage to be able to talk as soon as possible.) seeing me watching her from the dining room she reached out for me to come pick her up. i returned the gesture, but was too wrapped in watching her to disturb her performance, and she kept right on singing.
there's that, and the fact that she calls her nearly 9 year old auntie, yaya.
she is such a light in my life atm.
