Pitchers and catchers have reported. Bedard is signed and is the #1 starter appearing opening day. Felix is #2.

I am excited to see what McLaren can do with the team having control from the get-go.

As always, in all Seattle sports, I am excitedly optimistic about the upcoming season - hoping this is the year.

Here is to a productive spring training and a fantastic world series-winning 2008 season!! :D

Go M's!!!

Bedard's fucking good!! Your team is gonna cause trouble for my A's:D... considering Billy Beane pretty much gave away our whole team, like he always does! I hate that guy:mad:
Whoa, chill bro... you know you can't raise your voice like that when the lion's here.

Bought my first tix for the 2008 season. Saturday 7/19 12:55 in the afternoon. Roll the clock back to the 1980's game!

"The Mariners will wear retro uniforms featuring the old gold "S" on a royal blue cap and the word "Mariners" in blue and gold across the front of their jerseys. The Cleveland Indians will don the uniforms that were featured in the movie Major League."

    It must be fate...

The Mariners play three night games at Shea Stadium (june 23, 24, 25) the week of the PJ New York shows.

Alright - was that Spring Training longer than usual? It sure seemed that way to me.

I am glad the regular season is upon us!

It is a mixture of jitters and joy. It is a reunion with a pal who will take us through the long lush days of summer and back into the chill of early autumn.

It is the beginning anticipation, waiting for the Red Sox and Tigers, the Yankees, Angels and Indians to come to town.

It is baseball, returned from its hibernation, a day that should be celebrated like a national holiday, the firing of the starter's pistol to begin the magical, marathon march to October.

That's what I'm talkin' about! JJ gets his first save. M's get their first win.

1 down, 161 games to go.

    Go M's!!

It is time for King Felix to shine tonight!!! Let go ahead and get our first 2008 series win out of the way tonight against the Rangers!!!

    Go M's!!!
  • Well good luck to yall. I'd root for Seatle just because I like the town. Just got a old school Mariners hat, but mostly cause I like the way it looked + the town + the letter S. I'll root for yall, may be even over Houston and Texas. Not as strong feelings for any Baseball team as the Dallas Cowboys in football.
bombs, dropping down, please forgive our hometown

Too bad JJ blew the game last night. Hopefully we come back and win the series tonight. And hopefully JJ got 1 of only a few blown saves all year, out of the way last night.

    Go M's!

If my Atlanta Braves don't win it all, I hope the Mariners do. I really liked watching Griffey Jr when he first came up and just started pulling for them. I think the M's have a pretty solid lineup and I really like the top of the rotation with Bedard and Hernandez. Don't know much about the other starting pitchers, but if one steps up and has a good year, the M's should be dangerous with a good 1-3 rotation.

There we go! First series win of 2008! Couple of key homers and some great pitching from Silva!!!

    Go M's!!!

How you liking Bedard so far? Better get used to his lame injuries. Sherrill and Jones....thank you very much Seattle.

I hope King Felix can come out and pick up another win in Baltimore this morning. He generally pitches pretty well there.

It's a 4 game series, we could still pick up the split and not lose the series.

    Go M's!!!!

    GOD DAMN IT!!!!

Way to blow a fantastic outing by King Felix, bullpen!!!

    Fuck!!!

We need to A) have more than a 2 run lead going into the 9th and B) get JJ Putz back in the game!!!
