    Cool! It has been in my 'pile' for over a year now and I felt like genre jumping since and it was a good spot to land. I like it already, although I am just getting into it.

    Dragonfly in Amber. I started reading the first book of the Outlander series last Wednesday on the way home from work and finished the 700 pages by the weekend, so now I want to know how the story continues...

    Finished "The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer" today. Now I started reading "The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn" :) It's a childrens book, but I really enjoy reading it (with 25)!
    I'm also reading a book from Yrsa Sigurðardóttir (don't ask me how to pronounce her name).
    She's from Iceland.

    I remember that one! I was surprised by how good it was. I went through a Historical Fiction phase one year and that one was exceptional.

    Devil in the White City was great. If you like it try In The Garden of Beasts by the same author. Not about Chicago, but about Berlin when the Nazis started to flex their power ramping up to WWII.

    Wow, took me weeks to finish Matterhorn -- travel for work, baby stealing all will to stay up and read when spare time is there....and in the end I am glad I couldn't lock myself away for a weekend and crank through it. This allowed plenty of time to really reflect on what I was reading and how beautiful/disturbing it was and second --- I think I would have sobbed over the ending like a child had I stayed locked in his world for a few days. What a heart wrenching book --- and it makes me angry our current situation like this for those poor bastards that we are putting in harms way for the last 13 years in Afghanistan. Fuck, makes me very angry.

    The Girl in the Road, by Monica Byrne. Worth reading, particularly for the view of non-European/North American cultures, but a bit odd.

    Just finished 'Feral' by George Monbiot.

    This book surprised me a great deal. For anyone in the U.K., read the book. Speaks about your farming practices and the private estate owners.

    Book is written between the authors personal experience and journey plus scientific research.

    I'm about 60 pages left to finishing this. Wonderful book that raises many interesting points of view.

    Finished 'running with scissors' by Augusten Burroughs.

    I was in the bookstore and for some reason I picked up this book after searching 'social change'. This memoir is definitely about 'social change'. haha. What a trip!
