Ack!!! Jealous! Got it in last week but I've already got 2 books to read before I can start it. Glad to hear it's awesome! (Of course it is, it's SK!)

I was in the middle of a few books when I got it, but all books get pushed aside when a new King book comes out! If you are a fan of how he references past works, you will love parts of 11/22/63. That is one of my favorite things about reading King.

Oooh I think I just bumped the 3rd Song of Fire and Ice book out of the way...this will be my next one ;)

I have a book that came out a couple years ago, The Stephen King Encyclopedia, and it's all about all the correlations from each of his books. I still get the shivers when I read Insomnia and Patrick draws a picture of Roland. That's great stuff!!!

As much as I love SK, I might recommend reading the 3rd Ice and Fire book first. That is one of the best books I think I've ever read and so much happens!

I'm a big fan of the correlations within his books too. Sometimes when he just mentions some briefly like a dog went rabid in Castle Rock a few years ago, it's a cool nod to his longtime readers. The links in this book are really good, but I don't want to spoil it for you.

I'm finishing Declan Hughes' City Of Lost Girls... the 5th in the Ed Loy series... so far not my favorite of the five.

Next up I am going to tackle Daniel Woodrell's The Bayou Trilogy... Thought I would give Country Noir a shot.

I am really loving the John Lennon book. Can't put it down. It's in oral form, so you get direct quotes from John, Yoko, Jack Douglas, the musicians, and everyone else involved in the making of "Double Fantasy". Started it last night and it looks like I could be done with it tonight or sometime tomorrow.

Today I just cracked into the 1,000+ page Under The Dome by Stephen King. With my speed, I oughta finish this around New Years.

Once you get into it, it's a quicker read than you think. I think I finished it in like 2 weeks!

So far it is a great read. I started it yesterday afternoon and I am already on page 74.

This was 5 weeks ago and I'm still reading it. I'm on page 640 now and it is a freakin great book. So many twists and turns, every character has their own storyline. I am really hoping they follow through and make this a mini-series.

  • Not an unusual book to be reading in this crowd, I've been reading The Strangest Tribe.

I know. You are all SHOCKED.

    Interesting read, really.
  • An American Tragedy by Theodore Dreiser.

It surprisingly has a lot to say about the decisions between the rich and the poor that the Occupy Movement is protesting.

I just can not get past page 9. Everytime I start I am too tired to concentrate and it takes months before I try again... :(

Someone on fb posted something about beetroots and I remembered a book that I've read before and really liked and I started reading it again. It's called Jitterbug perfume and was written by Tom Tobbins.

Great read, also for the third time around

"Consider the Lobster" by David Foster Wallace.

Hands down, my favorite writer ever. Consider the lobster is great. The tracy Austin is awesome. Really enjoyed the porn one too. That book is a great read.

I need to think about tackling infinite jest one of these days

"Infinite Jest" was the first thing by DFW that I read.

It is literally (no pun intended) amazing. The most entertaining thing I have ever read. I strongly recommend it.

 That's been my bed book since January  I think it's great, but maybe not the best book for bed. I've had big reading breaks in between  I recommend it, too :)
