I'm about a 1/3 of the way through...it's very interesting so far....a little dry at times, but interesting. The guy that wrote it actually promotes reading the Bible "horizontally" instead of vertically, which makes it very easy to pull out discrepancies...

Finished up Physics of the Impossible last night. I rather enjoyed it, although Kaku can get off track from time to time.

Now I'm going to read this, to help psych myself up for the Wrigley show:

Just finished South of the Border, West of the Sun by Haruki Murakami.

Now on to The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea by Yukio Mishima:

The novel chronicles the story of Ryuji, a sailor with vague notions of a special honor awaiting him at sea. He meets a woman called Fusako with whom he falls deeply in love, and he ultimately decides to marry her. Fusako's 13-year-old son, Noboru, is in a band of savage boys who believe in "objectivity", rejecting the adult world as illusory, hypocritical and sentimental.

As Ryuji begins to draw close to Fusako, a woman of the shore, he is eventually torn away from the dreams he's pursued his entire life. Fusako's son, Noboru, who shares an especially close bond with his mother through a voyeuristic ritual, hates the idea of losing his mother to a man who has let his hope and freedom die. This anger and fear of loneliness translates into terrible, savage acts performed by Noboru and the gang of which he is a part.

I loved both of Rothfuss' books -- big time! Cool that you met him and he was good to talk to.

Let us know your thoughts on elantris. I really enjoyed Sanderson's Mistborn. I want to read the way of the kings next by him, but sooner or later i'll probably read all of his stuff.

I finished this on the way back from the Wrigley show. Not bad, but not quite what I expected either. It definitely gets you excited to see PJ on tour.

I also finished the second Time book, A Wind Through the Door. This means I've read 25 books of my 60-book goal for the year. Woo!

I've decided to keep rolling with these kids books (cause they're fun, quick reads, and I need to get back on schedule). I'm now reading this:

    up_L7FwRQ.jpg

Her previous books have touched on religious aspects before, but this one is much more overt. Nonetheless, it's still a fairly interesting read. I'm about 1/3 of the way through, and hope to finish it in the next couple days so I can start the fourth book in the series.

Elantris was pretty cool. A different sort of story and in this genre that is always refreshing. I really wanted it to keep going on although it is also different to read a 'one and done' in the genre.
Way of the Kings was awesome, I thought it was one of the best I have read in the last year.
I tried starting Mistborn a few times but didnt get past the first chapters. Those 3 will be read sometime soon.

Just started this last night; damn series take up so much time!

I almost bought "Something Wicked..." this weekend too, but decided to just get "The Cuckoo's Calling" by JK Rowling since my birthday gift card would only cover one book.

    How is "Something Wicked..."?
