how far is the venue from mass transportation (amtrak, chinatown bus...)?

Not that Union Station is far away (eight blocks) but the Chinatown bus puts you one block away from the area.

If this show had been Saturday night, 06/21/08, I would be there.
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

I agree. That was a weird vibe in 06. People were sitting down in the first 5 rows on Stone's side for half the concert.

The crowd just never got too into the show.

Not me!!!!!!! I was smokin a joint on mikes side , listening to him wail present tense

  • can anyone from DC tell me if it would be possible to take the metro from chinatown to shady grove after the concert is over? i used to go to dc a lot for concerts but i usually rode with friends and i just kinda don't feel like dealing with driving in the city if i don't have to, and shady grove is the closest metro station to me where i'm coming from. but i know it shuts down earlier on sundays than the rest of the weekend so i wasn't sure if i could ride all the way out to shady grove that late. ugh. i'll probably just have to drive. but if anyone knows anything about this, please let me know!

Last train to Shady Grove leaves at 12:02am, so you would likely be ok.

I think the poster was talking about taking one of the NY-DC Chinatown buses. This would certainly be a good way to go for someone who wanted to save money - I think you can do it for $20 or so round trip.

OK, well, then once in Union Station, take the Metro to Chinatown, like 2 stops away.
