I keep reading about fans going to get tickets to the New York or Boston shows... i even read about Hartford... but no one is talking about the DC show? I mean come on... its an election year, Bush's last year in office, the war is still on... Eddie is going to have field day at this show! I bet this show will rock!

Don't worry, it's gonna be fuckin great, and everyone knows it.
  • heres some DC talk:
DC has the WORST fans in the country.
They wouldn't know a good PJ show if Eddie personaly shoved it up their butt.

That being said, '06 was a phenomenal show at the MCI.
    :D

Looks like some of us true Pearl jam fans need to come out for this show then!

I agree. That was a weird vibe in 06. People were sitting down in the first 5 rows on Stone's side for half the concert.

The crowd just never got too into the show.

    2003 was even worse.
I mean, the crowd fucking sucked.
06 was an improvement, but still sad, from a crowd POV.

However, 2003 was pathetic. Probably the lamest crowd i've ever seen.

They fucking dropped the bomb, and rocked the fuck out ... uneleashing Why Go in a FURY ... i think it was like DTE\Blood\Why Go\STBC or something ... it was fucking insane ... and the DC losers just sat there sniffing the crud on their fingers that they had been picking from their ass crack since the start of the show.

To make matters worse, besides having NEVER seen so many goddamn Limos pulling up to a PJ show ... there was a veritable gaggle of girls ... i mean like 10 of em ... all between 14-16 years old ... that rolled up to the FRONT row, oh i'd say ... 5 songs in to the show or something?

I'm not being ageist at ALL ... i'm just saying, these were some rich daddy's girl children whose father must have pulled some serious strings ... at least, that was my take.

Sorry if those girls are on here now, and scorning me.
    ;)

I'm bringing my 11 year old niece. I wouldn't be surprised if she does a tae kwon do/hiphop move jumping from the chairs. I'd prefer she air guitar, but whatever, I'm just the Aunt :)

Also, many of us are already thinking of bootlegs and are in the bootleg forum.

If history is an indication, DC will have a killer BK poster.

Driving down from suburban Philly. Had a blast in DC in '06. Great pre-show benefit and catching up with friends + great concert capped by Mike's memorable "The Star Spangled Banner" = I'm there for sure.

DC was great in 2006, even though I went last minute and had crappy seats. If I remember correctly, they did a beautiful Man of the Hour. Of course, DC also produced one of the most sought after posters.

    I'm there!

I almost forgot.....this bar/restaurant near the place was amazing! I met some great people from around the country. I have to remember the name of that damn bar.
