    I liked this ending note......

When you've already beaten a team so badly over the previous 45 minutes, why is it respectful to suddenly go easy, so they'll falsely feel better about themselves? What the Patriots are saying when they continue to go for the end zone is, "Hey, both teams out here on the field are pros, and this is what pros do." It would be far more demeaning to say, "We could score again, but we just feel too sorry for you to do it." When the Patriots score on an opponent, in an odd way, it's a gesture of respect. Albeit in a tyrannical, domineering, world-conquering kind of way.

the pats win and they were HAMMERED on penalties. just think what the score would have been had the pats not played like crap (penalty-wise) for the first 3 quarters.

the two big defensive pass interference calls were b.s. in my opinion and the one against moss wasn't pass interence by any loose interpretation of the rule.

regarding the whole running the points up thing (which i think is stupid):

    http://www.boston.com/sports/nesn/wilbur/sports_blog/blog/2007/11/01/four_score_and_several_more/

"How's this for a four-game stretch of NFL greatness?

    W, 49-14

    W, 41-10

    W, 41-9

    W, 51-24

That quartet of one-sided scores comes to you courtesy of the 2004 Indianapolis Colts from a November-December period during which Peyton Manning and Company annihilated the Texans, Bears, Lions, and Titans, respectively. And, you know it's funny, I don't remember one person whining about them running up the score."

Why would I want to wish the Colts good luck? This only means the Patriots are one game up in the race for home advantage come playoff time. Patriots showed their persistance and determination and come for a win.

    ease up there cochese ....

Indy outplayed the Pats for a majority of today's game ... and they didn't have Marvin Harrison.

Pats did get squeezed with a few bogus P.I. calls on both sides ... but, overall, the Pats were a bit undisciplined and let Indy pressure Brady more then any other team has by a MILE.

Indy's not afraid to come to Foxborough anymore ... it's a definite home field advantage, but, it's not as daunting as it once was.

I'm psyched the Pats won ... played their asses off at the end of that game ... but, the coaching staff has a lot of material to chew on if these guys meet again in January.

Important win, as the Bills are charging!!! :D

  • I dont think they outplayed the Pats

They just looked better because of those bad calls

We had Colts fans and Giants fans in the room today
all agreed those calls were BS

The Colts got gifts with those and still couldnt pull it off

The team that played better was the team that one
it was a close game, they put up a good fight

  • The Pats got a lot of bullshit penalties against them, but it all worked out in the end. The Colts looked damn good today, but alls well that ends well with The Patriots on top!

the pats play had nothing to do with most of those penalties

the hobbs and moss ones were non existent

as well as the Colts were piping in crowd noise... I thought I heard a skipping CD during the game... but figured it was just on my TV or the broadcast or something

paying off the refs and piping in crowd noise... fuckin pussies

they did have a amazing pass rush... first one the pats faced all year... I'm glad the pats battled through it

The Pats will not win the Superbowl. Mark my words. They do not want to meet Peyton again. Say what you will New Englanders, but you'll be at home like your team watching the Superbowl.

we'll see your team again in January. btw, the Pats will have homefield through out the playoffs. And i'm sure you guys won't get the same calls as you did in this game.

You 2 ladies just mark my words. I won't argue about it. We'll just revisit this topic in February when the Pats aren't there.

    all jokes and bashings aside.

the Colts does have a awesome defense, especially the secondary backs.
I'll admit, it might be better than the Pats.

But the Pats' offense is almost unstoppable.
