Nice work girl! I was thinking I should find the thread and pop the koalas on. : )

Here's another Aussie critter that's having some problems with cancer and is dying out.
They're fabulous little fellas, anybody that remembers Tassie from Warner Brothers cartoons, they're exactly like that!! : D
Grumpy, scary, exciting little critters! :)

I have made a bunch and mailing them off tomorrow.

So I'll just lie down and wait for the dream

So I've just recently had these charities/fundraisers brought to my attention.

I thought they were all really interesting and worthwhile.

Second Bite picks up fresh food from local markets and delivers it to charities.
I really love how they've set this up, because it's fresh produce that would otherwise be thrown out and it's given to charities to cook up and feed the disadvantaged. It's very clever how it's been done and works on minimizing wastage, which is what I love about it most.

    The Thin Green Line

I started a thread about these guys this morning, because I'm really impressed with this guy and what he's doing to help wildlife and park rangers around the world.

The really cool thing about it is that they're encouraging people to buy the dvd and hold screening parties amongst friends to raise funds and awareness. I love how they've set this up and I really love what they're doing.

Mark Richardson/Pearl Jam Lizzy Alive Surboard Auction

And finally on account that it's coming up very soon, I can't remind everyone enough about the Mark Richardson/Pearl Jam Lizzy Alive surfboard being auctioned to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis New South Wales. If you can't afford to bid in the auction just make a donation or please pass on this info to as many people as you think might be interested.

All the details regarding the auction and little Lizzy are here:

Or you can go to the CFNSW website at http://www.cysticfibrosis.org.au

I highly recommend adopting a pet if you can/want/need one. I just adopted a "special needs" cat through FUZZ, through a foster parent I met at Petco. I am now the proud companion of a 18 month old rescued lukemia positive cat named Boo. :) Apparently he was in pretty bad condition only 7 months ago, left out in the cold, etc, and the wonderful "cat lady" who fostered him did an excellent job. This cat has an awesome personality, and already has proven to be perfectly content around my kids, even tho he's never been around any before. I really don't understand why anyone buys pets at a pet store, especially cats. Adopt! :)

    Peace.

    Ditto to pet adoption

there are too many charities in the world. If every charity in the world closed their office for one week, stopped using paper for one week, stopped annoying me in the street for one week the world would save enough money to buy all those people an X-Box... and an Analogue PJ membership.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

well I could have went with one of Matt Cameron's spin off jazz albums but I believe they dont reach the heady costs of a PJ Analogue membership.. excellent coasters for coffee mugs though
