wolfbear wrote:I've been doing the accounting for our local shelter since 2000. I was originally just volunteering at our "store" which has new, used and consigned items for sale-the proceeds of which all go the our shelter. The bookkeeper was leaving and knew that accounting was my original profession, so asked if I would step in and take over in the interim and I said sure. Here I am 7 years later-lol. I really do enjoy it though and I figure I'm saving a salary that can be used to feed and shelter many worthy animals.

wolfbear wrote:Thanks, but seriously, people need to realize that little things they can do make such a big difference. Just dropping off old towels and blankets can mean that a dog or cat has something to cozy up to. It really is heartwarming to see the new animals come into the shelter and have some feeling on a home.0

I've been taking advantage of these guys so many times in my role at work, I'm starting to feel guilty about not giving them a regular donation.Binary solo..0000001000001111000011100 -

Great experience... even though my great painting, tileing and wood working skills were wasted on a broom and a rake.
