One game back again....this season is giving me a headache. Can't believe we made up 1.5 games in one day. Hate to see the Sux players going down to injury so they have an excuse.
Well if you'd told me back in April that the Minnesota Twins would be playing meaningful baseball the last week of the season I would have taken it. I honestly predicted 70-75 wins and a 3rd or 4th place finish. No matter what happens 84 wins is already pretty damn good for a rebuilding season. Neither team really deserves this division (the Indians have actually been the best team in the AL central for the past 6 weeks) but somebody has to get their ass handed to them in the ALDS!

These last 3 games are huge. There's a big potential for a letdown here. Fortunately we got Liriano going so we should be OK for tonight. Both the Royals and Indians have been playing decent baseball so neither the Sux or Twins can take anything for granted. I think the Twins will win 2 of 3 and the Sox will lose 2 of 3.
Division will be clinched on Sunday.

I just hope they realize they have not truly done anything yet. With those 4 games to play, the Sox, will, at most lose one. So the Twins need to sweep or at least take two. The letdown factor is a possiblity. Like the way they went out without a whimper after all the Division Title celebration hysteria in 2006.
As for last night. The excitement made all the 4th inning bungling worth it.
I cannot come up with a new sig till I get this egg off my face.
It's great to see both the Twins and Sox back into their "let's do all we can to NOT win our division" modes. Whoever wins will have their ass handed to them by Tampa Bay.
Morneau has looked awful the last week or so. His bat is really sluggish. What was he thinking swinging on the first pitch after Mauer had been walked on 4 pitches? That's just bad fundamental baseball. Get your head in the game, man.

the white sox are the best 'bad' baseball team of the last 10 years.
yes, we lost our biggest HR guys, but that's no excuse.
you see, the twins play baseball the way it's supposed to be played...that's why, even going into sunday, i think the twins benefit.
and for all you twins fans who bash ozzie.
let me just say this white sox team isn't the kinda team he wants to manage. he may be outspoken, but he's already put kenny williams feet to the fire on that. if they lose, they lose. just wish crede and quinton were around the entire year.
either way...
the twins or sox lose in 5 to the rays.
