I know you're a UConn fan, but I can't see a scenario with them getting past the Sweet 16.

Are you kidding? If they MAKE it to the Sweet 16 I"ll be ecstatic!!! I could only hope!!! They're all coming back next year. Or at least scheduled to. Keep in mind they're 'dangerous'!!! ;)
I love to turn you on

I think Georgetown can make a deep run like last year because they are tournament tested.

The only other Big East team I can see making a big run is Louisville. Though I will be rooting against them hard as I am a Boise State fan in football - how can you not love the blue turf? And hopefully St. Joe's beats Oklahoma and then they'd have to face Louisville. I just think Louisville is the kind of team that can get hot and Pitino is a great tournament coach. I can see them making a lot of noise in this tourney much to Fanch's delight.
Just think about a possible Louisville-Tennessee matchup playing for the chance to (probably) take on UNC. Those would be some great games.

Btw, look for a Temple upset over Michigan State. Tipoff in Denver is at 10:30 am local time. Temple used to practice 6 am under Cheyney so for the Seniors and Juniors a 10:30 start is like an easy day for them. Michigan State may not be able to get going so early in front of probably a new empty arena.

I like that game a lot SOLAT. The only thing that worries me is Izzo is a good tourney coach and seems to get his team up for a game or two...at least. I like this Temple team though, they've really come on strong. Big fan of Christmas (the player and the holiday). Dunphy has done a great job there.

By the way, I'm a Nova grad/fan...........3 Big 5 teams in the dance, who would've thunk it?

The Big Five has had at least one team in since 1977. And considering how young Nova and Penn are and how good Dunph and Martelli are at Temple and St. Joe's (as well as wright at Nova) I don't think we'll have to worry about the streak ending anytime soon.

I never thought we were getting three teams in from Philly. But I had thought for a while now that St. Joe's and Nova would both find a way in. Dunphy got the Owls rolling much like he used to get the Quakers going in conference play.

I'm class of 1999. Had a glimmer of hope getting into the tourney, but it was a rough weekend.

get out...me too! i'll pm you!
the announcers all started saying again on sunday that nova might be back in... so i started having hope again. i'm glad they are in. i didn't have high hopes going into the season since they are so young but they've proven they're capable of beating some top teams... and isn't that the beauty of march madness... :)

You 'Nova fans got a tough draw with Clemson. The Tigers can be beaten, but they are an underrated 5 seed in this tournament. I hope your backcourt can handle a pretty good full court press.

well... some know more than others... id like nothing more than to see them lose in the sweet 16 or earlier... or atleast have a random crazed fan run onto the court and kick hansbrough in the nuts... if he has any... judging by that baby face they havent dropped yet

might just be my longtime duke loyalty talking :D

Yep, seems like a tough matchup. We're a young team so hopefully we can handle the press and get some easy buckets.

Oh My Gawd if the 3 Philly teams actually made to the Final Four, there would certainly be a Boyz II Men reunion!!! I could handle a Stax reunion, and even some Hall & Oats, but not Boyz II Men.

i'm hoping duke and unc wore them out this weekend... like the year syracuse went on that run to win four straight in the big east and then lost in the first round of the tourney? i'm hoping that's clemson. :D

hansbrough probably wore them out singlehandedly with that big gay man pile he orchestrated back at his hotel room :p

I think the possibility of that happening is pretty small. ;)

I think Philly has only had 2 Final Four teams in the last 30 years. Ivy League Penn in 1979 who had to go through UNC, Syracuse and St. John's to get there only to be destroyed by Magic Johnson and Michigan State and that Nova squad from 1985 that for some reason always gets brought up around this time every year. ;)
