I was wondering that as well...but I was unable to put my thoughts into words...not nearly as well as you did, at least!

The way I'm interpreting it is that they are going to still end episode 13 the way they had planned episode 16. Just getting there from the current point that is filmed - episode 8 - will be faster.

What I mean is that instead of going 9 thru 16 as planned they are still going to get to the end but do it instead from 9-13.

And then in subsequent seasons, they will stretch out a story or two a little longer now that they have extra time.

But I guess we'll see in a few months.

that was a great thing, except there are no "nicki and paulo" characters now.

But they can still condense things. In every season they could have cut three episodes and kept the heart of what was in those episodes in a shorter number of episodes. I'm just saying I'm not worried.

Perhaps now with the strike being over they will tape extra scenes and make more than 13 episodes..?

I just want to know, though, why LOST has such short seasons?! What happened to the 24-episode season? :(

Too many people complained about the breaks between episodes so the producers negotiated 3 seasons of 16 episodes each last summer.

actually i thought that the lost people said we want 2 more seasons with 24 epis and abc said 3 more for 16 so they can get more marketing out of it.. that was my understanding

I'm not super excited about 10pm, but I prefer that to them moving it back to Wednesday. I really like the Thursday airing.

Same with me. I *HATE* staying up till 11pm, especially since I have to be up so early. But, thankfully, I'm a big fan of Grey's Anatomy...so I'd be up watching it anyways.

It works for me as well. I'll just go from watching The Office and hopefully Scrubs into Lost.

I also like how the 4 week break will cover March Madness so us college bball junkies won't miss anything.

Lost is the only show I watch on TV so I don't know what else is on ABC. But you would think they would want to spread Lost and Grey's Anatomy to two different nights so they could both be lead ins to other shows.

Well, if it turns out to be true (which, apparently, all of the spoilers on the fuselage have been)...then yes, it's mind-blowing actually...which makes me even madder that I saw it.

Sorry you saw that. It is so tempting to read spoilers because its fun when you first see them, but then it sucks when watching the show, in my opinion. I wish I could read them and then forget them!

If it makes you feel any better, you got me even more excited about tomorrow night and that's saying something!!!!

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel. I so desperately want to know answers...and then reading them online means that when I actually watch it, the mystery is gone. SUCKS ASS. OH well, I made my bed...

Yeah, plus it's a cool spoiler-type thing without actually being a spoiler. When I read last week's episode's flashback was "The Rescuers" that really got me excited but it didn't spoil much.
