    BEAR DOWN!!!!!
  • Soriano coming back soon... bats will heat up again
  • Cubs have just been fucking terrible on the road recently. Something like 4-12 over the last 16 games. That ain't cool at all.

Harden has been incredible, too bad he's got a 0-1 record to show for it. Offense is struggling badly. Aramis has dropped his avg from 300 down to 270, Fukudome is down to like 275, Derosa was right around the same. DLee still had a good avg, around 300, but last I checked, his RISP fucking blows, very unclutch. That said, the starting pitching has been great recently. Lets get a fucking win tonight, be nice to win a series on the road!

He has hit into 20 double plays this year. Thats already a career high for him, and puts him among the league leaders. I have a feeling that Fonzi coming back will give them the shot in the arm that they need.

    What's that behind you Cubs?

It's the Brew Crew right behind you. :D

Ok serious here. This is what great baseball is all about. Best of luck to your team and mine. :)

This is just the law of averages with the Cubs. Aramis will hit when you get Soriano back, Fukudome will probably hit again, but what sparked your early season rise was the fact that your crappy role players were getting timely hits - they aren't anymore. PLUS you have a bitch schedule the rest of the way. My only hope as a Brewer fan (who's team is getting role player hitting right now) is that Billy Beane knows something we don't.
  • Fuck this team.

    Get Soriano back NOW.

The only player that is hitting it Mighty Little Mike Fontenot.

But fuck the Brewers though. Just a rough stretch for the Cubs.

I think you guys, with Soriano, are clearly a better regular season team...Z, Harden, Dumpster, and Marquis vs. C.C., Sheets, Gallardo, and Parra this fall would be real fun to watch, no?

Yes it will be fun and I have tickets for 2 games in September vs Milw and 2 for the Cards games on the last homestand. I was hoping that we woudl clinch before that but those games look like they will be HUGE!

    Go Cubs!!! Lets start hitting.

Naw dawg, The Riot has been doing awesome in July, hitting like 450. But I do agree, Fontenot has been doing well. Just sucks that Soto is like 1 for 18, Aramis is 1 for 23, DLee leads the league in doubleplays etc.

  • 10 runs tonight not bad............. This division will be won or lost for the Cubs in August. If they keep up their dominance at home in August (19 games at Wrigley), they could build a nice lead headed in to the final stretch. Milwaukee has been great recently, but they do not have the depth/experience that the Cubs do. Brewer fan better enjoy Cream Cheese..er Chimi Changa while they can, next year he is a Yankee.

Those series with Milwaukee will be huge. I'm going to all 4 next week, the game at Wrigley Sept. 17th and I have tickets for all of the last 3 games of the year in MIL. GO CUBS, finally nice to get a road win. Let's get at least 3/4 at home vs. FL.

Agreed. After that HOU series end on Sept. 3rd I'd love to have a 3-4 game lead. If not with our Sept. schedule and the way we've played on the road I'll be real nervous.

I'd take patricks cubs/brewers comments any day of the week over some of the other tools that use to troll around here ripping the Cubs!

They have 24 games left against sub .500 teams the rest of the way, and yes if they do not a have at least a 3-4 game lead headed into Sept. it could be an ugly September.
