Actually...Petey got much better right after he turned a year old, and continues to this day! I'm loving 2.5 years old, he is such a doll, and very settled, listens really well. I always thought I'd get a female Doberman...why wreck the peace and quiet we have now with another puppy! We are going back to OB2 starting next week, and also giving Agility a try in May. For several weeks he will be in 2 classes!

We just found out a couple of weeks ago that our border collie Roxy is having puppies! This is the first experience anyone in my family has of this sort of thing, any advice or tips?

There isnt a day that goes by that I dont think of the time when Scooter has to leave me. Its tough to think about, but at the same time, it causes me to cherish every moment I can spend with him. When I leave for work I spend about 5 minutes saying goodbye to him.

I need your help! Gracie looks pretty sweet, huh? Well, the thing is, she's not! We lost our last Golden a year ago and that one was sooooooooooo sweet. Even at Gracie's age (just turned one year), Shelby could be left in the house and was pretty mellow. She was funny spunky but not out of control like Gracie. I try not to compare the two, but it's impossible. "This one" (her unofficial name) is light years away from being left in the house while we're gone.
Gracie is pretty sweet during the day. I take her to the park every morning to try to wear her out. She does do her fair share of sleeping during the day. If I have errands to run, I take her in the truck. In the evening, we go on a 40 minute walk. The thing is, no matter how much excercise she's had, she goes crazy at night. She launches her 75 pounds at me, humps my leg, scratches and chews at me (playfully), attacks and chews her bed, destroys her toys, etc. I've never hit her (and never will) but, man, I'm tempted . She knows the meaning of "no" but she just ignores us and that pisses me off even more. It's exhausting. Short of doggie Prozac, anyone got any tips how I can get her to "settle" at night and get through this?
