I love having socialized dogs....on our walk today, piper and winnie got to go off leash twice to play with other dogs in their front yards. piper and winnie don’t have a mean bone between them.

Maxine just returned from the vet following surgery to remove two different types of cancer (melanoma and mast cell).  Hopefully we’ll get the all clear later this week.

    So stoned. . .

    Melanoma scar

Mast cell scar.  The shave job makes it look like her underpants are down lol

Yeah :) what a little darling she is, I have a feeling she'd get on well with my son (above).

Thanks.  She’s doing really well.  Got my first tail wag last night and they’ve continued exponentially all day 😁.

She was starting to do zoomies around the house last night before I ruined her fun and made her stop.  So I think it’s fair to say that she’s on the mend lol

I like how Zeus chooses the hard floor when his bed is 2 feet away. our dogs do that, too.

Ah, poor Gracie.  I was surprised that melanoma in dogs isn’t as serious as in humans and that it’s the mast cell I need to be worried about (which I am!).  The vet first diagnosed it as a plugged sebaceous gland well over a year ago.  So I She’s had it for probably more than two years.  I feel like a bad parent for not pursuing testing earlier :(

yeah, Zeus is a big goofball when it comes to where he decides to lay down.  It’s usually behind my back and about a foot away.  Perfect for tripping ;)

That is great news. I know what it is like to worry about a pet's health. It is heartbreaking when they are sick, and so joyful when they start acting like their old selves again. So glad Maxine is on the mend.

I was taking a walk and came upon this floofy bundle of joy. Owner said I could take a pic. He is a 9 week old mini Australian Shepherd named Bacon.

Bacon! Absolutely adorable. I love that confused, kinda dumb look that puppies have.
