    sorry man :(,

my lab died in april '13 and still, to this day, i miss him. i think about him at least once every day. it normally happens when the house is really really quiet. it was never like that with him around. i am going to look at rescue dogs this weekend. it is going to be bad, because i want to save them all.

Penny got one of these stuffingless toys for Christmas:

She loves toys like this. She will tear them apart. But she seemed to especially like this one.

This is how it looks tonight:

Probably time for a new one?

successful...she had 5 removed so she has little stitches all over her. they did a biopsy on one of them. should get that back in the next week or so. the medication she's taking is making her a bit lethargic but she's doing well. thanks for asking!

the vet also recommended a teeth cleaning which i agreed to since the cost of the surgery was going to be less than their estimate. not sure if this "teeth cleaning" is really necessary or a way to squeeze a few more bucks out of me though...

    Glad to hear that!

Teeth cleaning is important. It does seem expensive when you do it but not taking care of their teeth can affect a dog's overall health. Soon she'll be smiling like this: :D

yes glad to hear it. whenever my dog had surgery they always did a teeth cleaning while he was under the anesthesia, because he was not letting them anywhere near his teeth when he was awake. it is a good thing to have done, and it is less expensive to take care of it when they are already under anesthesia.

My "nephew" Dillon in the foreground (black and hard to see), my "son" Ben in the middle and my other "nephew" Charlie at the top. Good boys, one and all.

I'm gonna try to remember gracie like this ^^^^^. hopefully, that's what it's like in doggie heaven.

losing our 13 YO shelby was terrible and I told myself at the time that she had had an awesome life (she had) and that there really wasn't anything to mourn...I never really convinced myself of that but I really hate that gracie didn't even get 6 years. I think she always loved the one she was with and loved wherever she was but, man, there are so many things she never saw...the ocean, a campfire. damn, it makes me sad.

it's tough not having the little treat monster at the door every time I come and/or go. so damn quiet around here....

Just finding out about this sad, sad news. Loved seeing your posts and I know Gracie was loved not only by you, but an entire Pearl Jam Family!! Take care and I hope one day the click-click of paws will fill your house again!
