Gracie playing in the snow today?

gracie is having her best day in WEEKS! she:

ate all her breakfast (dry and without begging from mom and dad)

jumped all the way to my truck seat (she hasn't been doing that)

has a definite spring in her step

met two goldens, an aussie, a lab and two schnauzers at the park (ALL off leash in the "leashes required" park :shock: )

muck rolled in some unknown yellow crap





today makes me think all her treatment is the right thing to do

my golden was never on chemo, but he lost the pigment in his nose too. i once heard that it was due to letting them drink from plastic bowls. my dogs only drank from aluminum or glass bowls.

i'm glad to see gracie is doing well. she makes me miss my rock.

Just got a new phone and I've been trying to take some dog pictures with it but I haven't caught anything worth posting. I think I need to video Django. He likes to howl when Glenn leaves for work in the morning.

A very, very cool guy on this board just had to put his dog down. I'm going to respect his privacy but I have to put it out there as to how helpful and supportive this guy has been for gracie, codie and me.

when I first posted that gracie had lymphoma, my friend posted the following:

"I’m just a dog loving guy who considers these animals better than most humans so I try to do my part when I can. If you’re interested in just asking questions, whatever, shoot me a PM and I’ll give you my cell phone number and email. "

pretty much says it all, doesn't it? I have talked to him plenty of times about our dogs, their cancers and the impact both have had on our lives. his sweet dog also had lymphoma and had also fallen out of remission but seemed to be doing pretty well. this owner did everything in world he could have done for his dog....and then, suddenly, his dog declined in a matter of days. I hope my friend posts something but he may not. If you guys know who I'm talking about, please reach out to him or at least think a good thought for him and his family.

Wow, that's rough. We'll be sending him good thoughts tonight. I know this thread helped me so much through the loss of two dogs. The kindness of people here I've never met in person is amazing.
