    Since two months I'm trying to raise €12.000,- to train my dog Timmie to become a Diabetic Alert Dog. So far I raised €1000,-.

    Now up for the remaining €11.000,- ... 

    I need Tim to become a diabetic alert dog to help me stay alive.

    I hope some of you will help me...

    Aafke, is there a huge cost differential in adopting / buying an alert dog vs. training Timmie?  As in have two dogs, one for this particular need (and both for giving belly rubs, of course)?

    This perticular kind of assistant dog is trained on sent of my body while in hypo  or hyper. This means that one can't buy a trained diabetic alert dog, you have to train this kind of assistance dog completely on your own sent, while in hypo or hyper....
