that's not the couch....that's an accesory ottoman we bought with our new couches. Space-wise, it didn't really work as an ottoman but it sure makes a nice $600 perch for Princess Piper.

This just showed up on my FB feed. I'm sure I've posted this here before. But it's little Lisa. She's almost 2 now.

Piper's little buddy Rye came over for a playdate. He's 11 months old and is trying, without a ton of success, to be a show dog. Piper is quite content to just be a dog dog.

Rye is very handsome just the same. Doesn't Piper need a little brother to boss around?

it's not time yet, but i am having a terrible night. My Corgi has days and he is young, 5 years old, but has kidney failure. My wife is out of town and will be back in a couple of days, but I can't wait. Taking him to the vet tomorrow, if he can hold we will wait for my wife.

Not making sense, but we will wait. hopefully the vet can help.

a little positive love couldn't hurt at his point.

I'm so sorry, Smelly. This is the worst, hardest part of loving a pet.

    Good thoughts to you.

So very sorry. :heartbreak: All of us who've been through it understand how hard it is for you. Hope the vet can make him comfortable for a little while longer.

Good thing Princess is too tiny to honk the horn on which her paw lays.

(but damn, is she ever giving the stink-eye!)

    Love your smile, Tree :)
  • That is my sister Melissa in the pic. We look a lot alike! Lol

After my emotional post, I thought I should give an update. (thanks for all the well wishes. it was therapeutic.) He stayed a couple of nights with the vet and immediately started feeling better there after they did all the vet things.....It is our second time around with a dog with kidney failure so we know the routine. As long as he is eating and happy we will give him as many good days as possible. We know time is short, but he will make it for my wife to get home from London and he will let us know when he is done.

I've actually posted a few vids of our dogs and fosters. Here is one with Lily and Petey on our favorite hike in Hong Kong

BTW - Little Lily is a Pug/Chihuahua mix. I don't care what you say, maybe the cutest dog on the planet.

Glad you all have some more precious time, and that you and your wife will brave what's to come, together.

Petey looks like a happy little guy, so sorry to hear about his condition. (And Lily looks like a little spitfire).

What a fun place for doggies to play! I love seeing Petey plop down in the pool.
