    Yep, that's right. Yesterday people brought dogs, cats, rats, fish (in a bowl). At our old church people would bring chickens. It makes for a lively church service.

    I don't know what it's called either. But two years ago our dog Brian tried to grab it and run away with it. That was pretty great.

    Ok, finally. This is one of my favorite places to come have a look.
    This is Downey when we first got her, she's almost 9 now. Feeling a bit nervous as she's been at the vet since last night. Not sure what's happening, but she's where she should be.

    My hubby sent me this first pic yesterday, it's my Dog Autzen, my cat Beans and Puppy Pearl....they were all snuggled on the couch sleeping...

    This second, I took the other night of my daughter and Pearl, pearl was asleep and my daughter was laughing...

    Downey looks like a total love bunny! What is that classic car she's in? They don't upholster seats like that anymore.

    Quite often, I'll find them all snuggled together, except for my cat Eliot, he wants nothing to do with the dogs....lol

    <<b>What a face! I want to hug her. Hopefully she is feeling much better today.

    She is home now and on the mend. We had given her a steak bone and a shard of it was stuck.
    No more bones for her!

    So Scout managed to scare the crap out of me on Saturday. I took him to the vet that morning for his latest round of puppy shots. Got home and did some stuff in the yard for about 30 minutes while he ran around and played. We went inside and after a little while I noticed that his face looked weird--kind of puffy. A few minutes later, his face was so swollen that he could barely open his eyes.

    Completely freaked out, I called the vet. Told me to give him half a Benadryl and get over there immediately. At the vet's she gave him a steroid shot. She said that it might seem logical to think that one of the shots caused the reaction but he could also have been stung by a bee while we were in the yard. She told me to continue with the Benadryl every 6-8 hours for 2 days.

    Took him back home and the swelling went down quite a bit. He was exhausted and slept all afternoon. After a second Benadryl, he looked normal again. By Sunday he was back to being his bouncy self.

    No way would I post a pic of that puffy face. Here he is Saturday night at bedtime.

    Dazed and confused maybe, but no longer looking like a pufferfish. :relieved:
    I guess every puppy has to give you a scary episode at some point. Thanks, Scout, I have now officially had mine.

    Awwww, Who Princess he's sooooo cute!!! Yeah, it's required that they do that...we haven't had a scare yet with Pearl, other than her having worms...but I'm sure it's coming...

    whoprincess - the exact same thing happened with shelby...I was at work at Codie brought shelby by on her way to the vet....I took one look at that little puffy puppy face and couldn't help but chuckle...I'm still hearing about my insensitivity, 20 years later.
    If I had known then what I know now...
