Ann, she isn't tiny. In Denver, she jumped on me and gave me kisses--almost knocked me over. )

And I hear you about the days getting a little better. But I have to go pick up Django's ashes at the vet this afternoon and I kind of dread it.

But Piper makes all of us smile.

Piper tips the scales at 34 pounds.....she's either a big little dog or a little big dog (probably the latter). We sometimes call her "Peanut" because, compared to Gracie, that's what she is.

She loves the snow! However WE don't like the -22* without the wind chill. Saturday was the first day that is was above 0 this entire week... might think about some booties for her, but she does not like anything on her paws

Gracie tolerated booties but she really needed them due to the little ice balls that would get between her toes and stick to her super furry feet.

Piper spent her first night on her hoomans' bed. I can't say I slept great.....

Okay, I say it every time, but dalmatians in the snow - fabulous.

It's been a tough couple of weeks on this thread (for a bunch of us), but today my daughter and I spend an hour of pure puppy bliss. I've been emailing our German shepherd rescue place, to tell them about the loss of Brian and they've been great - asked if we thought about fostering, we said yes. They suggested a couple of dogs. Then we saw a link to 8 puppies (7 girls, 1 boy) and we visited them today. I miss Brian with all my heart, but sitting with 8 wiggly, nippy, adorable puppies was just what was needed.
