    every grocery store is like that where i live, so it doesn't really matter. however I find that TJ's are always in places I have to drive to. that I really hate.

    Love TJ's! Excellent wine selection, lots of vitamins, fair trade coffee, lots of great juice, nuts & dried fruits, cheese isle to die for, lots of vegetarian options for cheap, etc. However, I hate that they don't open till 9am and close at 9pm - going before or after is how I like to beat the crowds. It is a clusterfuck, but I go every week anyways.

    really, if you do like health foods, they are much cheaper at TJ's than the regular grocery store, that's what's good about it. However, the produce is generally pretty bad. they have a good selection of bagged vegetables, but the fruit is usually pretty scant.

    but they've got a lot of unhealthy foods! that's always my problem when I go there- trying to avoid that unbelievable cookie isle (mmmm ginger snaps), all the chocolate covered nuts and fruits, and the cheap microbrews...oh man and don't get me started on the frozen appetizers. for christmas I bought these things there that were like pastry with raspberry and brie filling...

    *note, however, that most of the cookies and stuff are more "natural" than your usual oreos and chips ahoy...
