I've played a few hours' worth in non-ranked with the friends' list, but have been trying to do more story mode stuff lately.
I always end up doing 2 "missions" then get into trouble
If a man speaks in a forest and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

haha, I haven't had much trouble with the missions yet, just controls (getting onto ladders is a pain in the ass)
In MP the Bomb da Base 2 mission type is incredibly fun. As soon as you get the armored truck pulled over it reminds me of "Heat" when Deniro's crew comes out of the bank. Quite fun!

the missions are good, but I end up roaming around the city running people over, stealing police cars, etc....I will try bomb da base first though.

I have done all that in free roam, but I haven't stolen a police car in story mode yet (I did have to get one but it was basically served on a platter).
I do run people over though...and the toll on the bridge...apparently running that is a killable offense ;)

they dont like when you shoot down one of their choppers either

it is actually quite easy to get a cop car...I even hotwired one while they were chasing me

Hotwiring isn't a hard task, nope!
Just before I went to bed last night I wanted to see if the helo I could barely see would get po'd if I put a few shots at it with a pistol. The thing was really high in the sky, was starting to fade a little bit. 3 stars on 3 shots.

I snagged a helo and flew it over the prison. I guess the cops didn't like it too much because it was instant 6 stars. I couldn't shake it either, I tried flying over the water to get rid of it but it wouldn't go away. I just ended jumping out of the chopper into the water and trying to swim for it. When it turned dawn they saw me and shot on sight.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

You'd have to shoot them down to get rid of em I guess.
I haven't found any star pickups to remove wanted levels, or hidden packages, and I didn't (and don't) know if the'yre in the game or not..
although at this point I'm assuming not.

There is a time advance for something else but I forget what it is...
It auto saves after missions without time advance but I wanted to keep my motorcyle.
Michelle didn't like the cabaret, and didn't like being woken up in the middle of the night (twice). I don't like my chances ;)
The 3 hour time advance is when you use a Pay n' Spray.

mca, that was my first time playing multiplayer. It was awesome when we were playing 1v1! I had no clue where to go in the cop's n crook's matches.

Hey booomm, it was good playin' with you last night. It was my second time playing online so I too wasn't sure where to go. But it's fun as hell!

I think Cops and Crooks will be really fun if you can get 8 on each side.

I crashed into the water then swam for a few minutes to the airport where I got back on land. I stole a motorcycle then drove through the airport security gate. As soon as I hit the runway on the bike my level went to 5 stars. I guess they really don't want you on the runways! I had no wanted level when I drove through the gates and within 10 seconds it was at 5.
I jumped the bike into the water and was almost immediately gunned down from above by a helicopter.

On another note, I am having problems with motion sickness. I get nauseous when I play for more than an hour. I have had this problem in the past, mostly with FPS games. Anybody else experience this? I enjoy the game but I don't know if I can keep it if it keeps making me feel sick. It might be back to sports games only for me... :(
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

You probably want to avoid getting drunk then, cause that will really make you sick.

Been there, done that...made myself throw up last night so I could fall asleep after it...didn't want to mention that earlier but oh well...

  • Has anyone else noticed that the cars handle differently than the other GTAs. I find myself having to let go of the gas and hit the brakes more often.

    Yeah, it's a little different.
Like all of the other GTA games, I find it easier to drive in 1st person mode.
