On one of the tailing missions a random car decided to do a 3 point turn in the middle of the junction and then just stopped, creating a massive traffic jam that my target got stuck in. So I had to get out of my car, go to the stopped car, hijack it, move it out the way and then get back to my car, all the while making sure the target didn't see me.

Got onto the interview mission, first mission I'm stuck on! Surprised it's taken so long to get a challenging mission to be honest. Usually comes a lot earlier, but then again there are less cars on the road and less pedestrians around so driving missions are a hell of a lot easier.

Hahahaha, yeah...when you get stuck in a traffic jam on a bridge with 2 or three stars that is pretty damn frustrating!

The interview mission isn't as tough as you might think.
    This is what I did.

SPOILER Below (for those not there yet...look away!)

If you kill the guy with a silenced weapon it won't trigger the police response (or not right away). Once you do kill him, shoot out his office window and hop out onto the street. Grab a car and get the hell outta there. Much faster and it works perfectly! If you go back through the office you will have a big gun battle and lots of cops to avoid.

I took the 'through the building' route on that one, and they didn't stand a chance. No hard missions yet.

I got out fine but couldn't shake the cops. There were no cars around so I had to take a cop car, which flipped over for NO reason (about the 3rd time it's happened to me now). So I was pretty much a sitting duck for the cops. I'll try it again some other time.

Michelle is starting to annoy me. I bought a $1000 suit and she said she prefered the cheap jacket from Russia Store!!!!!!! Stupid women

The second part of this post reminded me of another aspect of the game.
Let me know if Michelle ever does anything funny to you, and I'll elaborate ;)

I'm not far from that point, but my flatmates told me about it so I have no surprises :(

I guess I got off lucky! It was so funny though. I could barely stand up, as I got to the car I turned around and this car goes plowing into her. She went flying and it said "So n' so is DEAD". I was rolling on the ground laughing after that.
Funny thing is, I think she's really dead because she hasn't come back.

    Oh, it was Packie's sister.

That's what I thought, but we just went on the next mission (Three Leaf Clover) next.

Oh well, she seemed like she was going to suck anyways. :D

That one was a pain in the nuts until I figured I would just drive straight really, really fast. My girlfriend watched me do that mission like 5 times and each time I got enraged a little bit more.

Yeah, that one took me a few tries (it's always the ones where you have to drive across the damn city to "begin it" are always the hardest).
The first two times I'd get out of the hospital and get shot down running for a car.
After that I stole a Turismo from the exotic car dealer, parked it right by the door. I fought my way to the exit, hopped in and blew the cops out of the water and cleared my stars in no time. Piece of cake mission once I did that. :D

Three Leaf Clover has been my hardest so far (finally be it last night).

I really have no idea where I'm at right now because I like to skip around which kind of screws me because I still have Brucie missions to do but I dont want to drive all the way down there.

I learned very quickly to grab some armor and basically run straight out of the hospital right to a car to speed away.

I did have to save Roman in a warehouse though. THAT was difficult. Just so many guys to kill and they were every-fucking-where.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

Just get a taxi and then hijack a car when you get there. That way it's the same time no matter how far you're travelling. Might as well get it over with, Brucie doesn't have that many missions.

  • If you put in codes, they lock the missions right?

I think that's pretty damn cool if so.

If you're dating Kiki any mission involving beating a wanted level is a piece of cake if you call her to clear it. The missions were all pretty easy I thought except for the bank robbery when I was having problems throwing grenades and kept blowing myself up, or when I got all the way back to Packie's house with the cops chasing me and blew up my car right around the corner from dropping them off. Actually, thinking about it the last mission is a bit of a bitch, and the one where I chose revenge on Dmitri wasn't that easy either. Not one comes close to that damn remote control plane one from San Andreas though. That was ridiculous hard.

    Thank god for that!!!!!!

I damn near threw my controller through the TV trying to be that fuckin' level! To this day I think about that damn level and get pissed off.
I probably played it at least 30 times before I beat it. I'd get all the way back to the building and run out of gas 2 feet from the rooftop!
    Man, that was tough.

I've been reading this thread because I don't have a next-gen system to play this game on and enjoyed the previous games, but I had to comment on this, this mission fucking sucked.

It's image burned in my head-Take off, Fly to the left, and a van will be driving by the park. Damn, lol.

Kiki was what I was getting at a page back.
The bank job was awesome, best mission yet IMO.
I was telling my friends how bomb da base was like the movie Heat then the story has you rob a bank ;)

It was an awesome mission, and probably my favorite as well. It involved more than just setting up somewhere with a sniper rifle and just picking guys off which is how I beat pretty much every mission involving a lot of guys shooting at you. You had to keep moving which was a lot of fun.

It took me 2 goes, using cover and blowing up the cars rather than going straight for the cops seemed like the best tactic plus there is some conveniantly placed armour you need to pick up as your running through one of the streets, but it is a pretty awesome mission from the dialogue on the way, the cutscenes everything is set up real well.

Snow Storm is a good one. I just did that one last weekend!

After a few tries I found a boat in the water outside the entrance. Best way to get through this one -- pull up in the lot, walk towards the front where the two gunmen are and pick them off from a distance. Go the long way around to the back side where the ladder is and climb up an in. Hit as many guys as you can from here -- as well as propane barrels. Drop in and clear everyone out but the two guys in room where the drugs are. Get your bearings for escape before the cops arrive. Now waste the last two guys in that room and health/armor up before picking up the drugs. Once the cut scene ends make a break for the door killing cops along the way. Cut through the fence to the dock below. Hop in the boat and head to open water to evade your wanted level.
    drive less - RIDE MORE!

    LOL!

It's quite simple. Go down to your local Best Buy. Purchase a PS3, GTA4, and an HDTV (if you don't have one). Drive home with smile on face. Hook up new purchase and stop the hating! :D

Hey mca47!, I added you to my ps network tonight.. too tired to play now, but we'll have to soon. I suck at Call of Duty, so maybe we'll have to do some gta4 free mode some time.. I played that the other day for like 4 hours.. I spent like 2 hours trying to figure out how to take a sniper out from his tower.. lol.
