    Team Notes:
    - The Rangers were defeated by the Flyers, 2-1, tonight at Wells Fargo Center, and are now 1-3-0 overall this season.
    - Tonight’s loss ended the Blueshirts’ eight-game winning streak against the Flyers, dating back to a 7-0 win at MSG on March 6, 2011, and ended their four-game winning streak at Philadelphia.
    Player Notes:
    - Taylor Pyatt notched a power play goal to extend his goal-scoring streak to three games, and was credited with two hits and two blocked shots in 19:31 of ice time. His three goals are tied for first on the team and fifth in the league.
    - Marian Gaborik tallied the lone assist on Pyatt’s power play goal and logged 20:53 of ice time. He completed the Rangers’ back-to-back set with four points (three goals, one assist), after posting a hat trick in last night’s 4-3 overtime win against Boston.
    - Henrik Lundqvist made 31 saves and is now 1-3-0 overall, including an 0-2-0 mark on the road. He has posted 30 or more saves in two of his four appearances this season.
    - Ryan Callahan was credited with a game-high, five hits and registered a team-high, four shots on goal in 20:11 of ice time.
    - Ryan McDonagh registered a team-high, four blocked shots and logged a game-high, 25:34 of ice time.
    - Brian Boyle tied his season-high with four hits and won 9-11 faceoffs (82%) in the contest.

I guess they don't send quotes when they lose..

Taylor Pyatt was the only positive thing i got outta this game.
Yeah, the faceoffs were mildly better, but bad timing.
    The power play is attrocious.
Everyone is scrambling around on the ice in a frantic appearance.
Overall it doesnt seem like there is any team chemistry yet ( yes its still early )

Thank goodness our next back to back is in March,
gives us some time to hopefully bounce back in the right direction.

    ....One thing that puzzled me:
    5 forwards on the 5-on-3 ?
Shouldnt we have at least 1 D Man back there quaterbacking?
    One with a good/decent shot?
Or is it that we have none?
Torts' decisions boggle the mind sometimes.....

LOL, Missanelli is on the radio now talking about how you Rangers fans are in a complete panic right now because of the 48 game schedule.

He's out of our market, so obviously just trying to rile up the Flyer fans.
( Guess thats his job )
A little ironic being as NYR and Flyers have the same record ,
and I'm sure as you go from fan to fan the reactions differ just as much.
I'm not happy about 1-3 record, but theres still 45 games or so to go.

Mike has only recently started talking hockey, period.
I'd say it was over 10 years ,
then when his children were born, and his kids grew up,
    gravitated towards hockey/The Rangers,
he started bringing them to the Garden for games,
and miraculously he started covering at length last season.
I was shocked to hear him cover so much myself.

    Did you mean Ferriero ?

If they went ahead and called him up, I would guess Krieder is out.
Especially the clips I saw after the previous debacle against Fyers,
Torts eluded to Krieder and the "process" and " the system" a dozen times or so.
    * alltho he did deliberately mention " Well, we can't bring anybody up from Hartford",
    so who the hell knows.
    He is an enigma

So another original 6 matchup tonight-
    and those heritage jerseys.

    LETS GO RANGERS

I'm liking how this 2nd line looks on paper.
Pyatt has earned 2nd line minutes,
He has been a good pickup.

Lets hope they can tear some shit up tonight.
