Way to many penalties. The ones in the 3rd killed us. They weren't 'stupid' penalties but lost us the game nonetheless.

I'm always optimistic...this start means nothing. A lot of travelling for the Blueshirts this month. Once they settle down in the new Garden all will be fine. Gaborik looks like he came to play this season and with Richards on the line they will be a threat.

every year i say it. the rangers always seem to get fucked early in the season because of a BS schedule.

they ALWAYS play more games with in a 15 game span than any other team in the league. doesn't give new ranger teams very much time to gel right out of the gate.

i caught a bit of the game and saw the schedule wow that is brutal, you'd think the NHL would be a bit more nice to the teams starting in europe

we did get fucked with europe and MSG not being ready till the 27th

a 7-8 game road trip to start the season in sweden then to ny then out west is not good ,but the league wants new york in europe.

that being said we need staal and sauer back pronto

and i hate to say it..but the sticks have a good young team.their top line is real good

when the fuck did they get nabakov?

i do like stephan with the big line...they were awesome tonight but the penalties killed us again

they got him last year but he didn't report to the islanders, detroit tried to get him and for some reason nabakov had to clear waivers and the islanders grabbed him of waivers

The Isles are going to be good this year IMO .
    P.A Parenteau kills us everytime
( he probably gets fired up for us since the Rs cut him loose very quickly )
Tavares and a few other good young guys in that system riught now.

Of course this rivalry is involved, making that " ouch " a little more painful .

    :)

We need to cease with the penalties
and we need to get back Staal and Sauer, quick .

must have been a typo, which factor. So far the Devils and Islanders are off to good starts. We need the Rangers to get it going so we can have all three teams be good because it is much more fun that way during the winter.

50-50 chance, which is an upgrade from before the lockout when they had ties.

been going down memory lane on youtube.

    rangers / penguins '96 round 2.

    game 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-EC1LdYOOA

    game 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t815YtPIP5Y

vividly remember this series. jagr & lemieux just ate the rangers up, i think they combined for like 14 goals in that 5 game series? crazy.

beginning of game 1 link, how about the clip from the ranger's practice where richter nailed graves in the mouth with the puck causing him to get 50 stitches (mentions graves then drove himself to the hospital). and remember the penguin's first goal of game 3 hitting ulf in the side of the head and the puck dropped behind richter.
