3 games in and we are plagued by injury.
Not to mention, our 2 leading forwards out, scoring gonna be as
hard to find as the Yankees batting ....
but at least the Yankees are capable of turning it on. They're more capable of a four-run inning than the Rangers are of a three-goal period.
Not against Lee and the Rangers, theyre not .

John Tortorella has been diplomatic about it, but it appears from his recent comments that at the very least there's a difference of opinion between the Rangers coach and GM Glen Sather over the composition of the roster.
Tortorella hasn't openly questioned his boss. However, with measured responses to questions about roster moves, the coach is getting his message across.
The Rangers (1-2-1) face the Maple Leafs Thursday night in Toronto with no reinforcements from Hartford of the AHL to fill in for Chris Drury and Marian Gaborik, who were injured in the Rangers' overtime loss to the Leafs on Friday at the Garden.
"It's not my call," Tortorella said after the Rangers lost to Colorado on Monday at the Garden. "I haven't even talked to Glen about that. We're going to have to reassess it. We'll reassess it and see where we go."
That reassessment did not result in any help for Tortorella for Thursday night's game, which means that Brian Boyle, a natural center, will have to play right wing. For the final preseason game, when the Rangers were resting Gaborik and Ryan Callahan, they summoned Dale Weise and Mats Zuccarello from Hartford. Weise is now out with a broken hand, but Zuccarello has two goals in five games and could provide some help, even though the Norwegian still is adjusting to the smaller rinks of North America.
Also in Hartford is Tim Kennedy, who was sent down when Drury returned from injured reserve before getting hurt in his first game back. Kennedy likely would not make it through re-entry waivers should the Rangers try to recall him, and his demotion was another move that Tortorella distanced himself from.
"It's really not my decision," the coach said last week. "We had discussions. I gave (Sather) my thoughts, and this is where we felt we wanted to go."
Kennedy is a lefthanded-shooting center, so he wouldn't be a fix for the right wing situation. The Rangers happen to need a lefty on defense, where they have five right-side players out of seven. Tortorella joked on Sunday that he might let a reporter play on the blue line if he was a lefthanded shot, but the reality is that the final two cuts of training camp, promising lefty prospects Ryan McDonagh and Pavel Valentenko, each could have provided better balance. Instead, the Rangers went with Steve Eminger, Matt Gilroy and Mike Sauer, all righthanders, as their Nos. 5-7 defensemen.
"When Glen asked me, it's just based on hockey," Tortorella said when the final cuts were made. "They played very well at certain times, and at certain times, they struggled....We feel they have a chance to be part of the core - it's just that they need to go down there and go through the process a bit. It's a hard position, defense."
At the time, that reasoning made sense, but the decision left him with a roster problem the size of Derek Boogaard, the 6-8, 265-pound enforcer whose limited skating ability leaves him ill-suited to play more than a few minutes a game in Tortorella's system.
Boogaard has a four-year contract. If the Rangers' slow start spirals into another year out of the playoffs, Tortorella's future on Broadway won't be as long. To avoid that fate, he needs help from Sather. He's asking for it.
well maybe that's the first step to a coaching change..

this was an interesting nugget from the bergen record:
Ryan Callahan admitted to feeling some relief after finally getting his first goal of the season. At the same time, he also admitted hearing the Madison Square Garden fans boos Michal Rozsival relentlessly “gets under my skin.”
“Look at how many minutes he logs per night and what he does for us,” Callahan said. “It’s disappointing to hear the boos coming from the stands. It’s unfortunate he gets that. I don’t think it’s right. I don’t think he should.”
Consider that just another step in the second-year alternate captain’s growing leadership role with the Rangers. Coach John Tortorella said he’s noticed Callahan being more vocal in the dressing room, particularly during the Rangers’ penalty parade in Boston, when he addressed the room during intermission about the need to play with more discipline. Callahan, a fan favorite, certainly has the cache to criticize the fans for their ongoing criticism of Rozsival.
