  • nice job of the refs missing that kovalev elbow, but ryan hollweg doing this is inexcusable.

No excuse on the elbow, but it was retaliation all the same. Not the first time he's thrown an elbow in response.

Play for a period then piss off for the day, gee haven't seen that before...

drury, gets #1 star of the game.

    i must say
that play that dawes set up with the complete circle and then pass to the crease was incredible.
dubinsky chipping in every game also,
suddenly the team we had after the all star break is a figment of our imaginations....

henrik also made some key saves late in the game.
they seem to come in flurries from the Habs, especially late in the game.

    Lets Go Rangers !

    Right here.
I'm pretty sure I called this one.
The 3-0 was a surprise, the end result was not. Good 1st period by the Habs, good 2nd by the Rags, overall a 'meh' game. Not good officiating through the first two periods.

Good win but I'm wary of getting too excited, especially at the inconsistency that has been the mark of this time so far this season. Can't have a let down game tomorrow night, they need to just stomp the Kings early and often.

  • agreed, although i'll say the response (5-1-0) since that dreadful Boston game is nice. but color me definitely impressed if it becomes a run like 10-2-0 or 8-2-1 etc and if they beat the Kings.

6-3-1 doesn't change the fact they're still 2 pts behind TB for worst team in the league.

It's All Good When You Go to the Net
UPDATE: Chris Drury was named the NHL's third star of the week with six points in his last three games (four goals, two assists). Ryan Hollweg suspended for one game -- automatic for his third boarding major of the season. Only five players skated today, including Jaromir Jagr -- for more, see Rangers Report and Blue Notes.
