    I was joking with you.

    I know what you mean.
I think you should put your car in a 24 hr lot, take the subway downtown to get the boat to the statue and then take the subway up to the game.

that would be the most sensible option. driving around yankee stadium and around the major deegan will be at least two hours of your life you won't get back.

There's also a place called US Fried Chicken on Gerard Avenue.

Yum! I had that just last week! Also, if you are a Cracker Jack fan, you can buy a bag on 161st St. for $1. It is half the size of the one they sell inside, but for a quater of the price.

As for driving/parking trade-off...definitely park in Manhattan and take the subway, it will definitely be quicker that way. I take the 4 from the Wall St. (downtown) station weeknights after work and it only takes 45-60 minutes, so I would think from midtown it should take 45 minutes, tops on a weekend.

hehe, I know......I was REALLY hoping for a september trip for 3-4 days....but stupid people getting married.....wtf? I have to go to 4 weddings this summer!!!

Anyway, I decided that I just have to see Yankee Stadium this time around, so I am doing that and trying to fit in as much as possible on the way out of town to DC.

i usually get it with mustard or ketchup and sometimes sauerkraut. i don't usually have all of that on at the same time.

i think any of the afforementioned are the usual condiments. if you want a better hotdog than around the stadium try grey's papaya

    http://newyork.citysearch.com/profile/7166636/new_york_ny/gray_s_papaya.html

grays papaya, is that the same as papaya king?

my wife and her friends went for a trip to NY several months ago and went to papaya king because they had heard about it and they all said it was just ok...nothing special.

Jenfarr, how much would it be to park for the day near Wall Street?

Most garages in the Financial District are between $20-$25 overnight. If it is a weekend game then you can get parking in here for $10-$15 for 12 hours (except overnight). There is a garage on Gold St where I used to park my car and it has the best prices in the neighborhood. It is a GMAC lot, not Icon. With that being said you can check out http://www.iconparking.com/ to see where you can get the best priced parking in the city.

Yeah, during the week it is pretty expensive, but downtown lots usually are cheaper on the weekend. I don't drive downtown alot (and the one time I did I found a spot on the street), so I'd go with what mookie says.

You haven't heard of buffalo mozzarella? Or the 4 cheese pizza? Most authentic Italian pizzas use mozzarella, though there are a few that do skip out on the cheese.

    this is the BEST answer.
there is no *best* in regards to personal tastes in food. you like what you like. :)

vedder_soup...pizza and italy and pizza anywhere in the US, not the same thing...at all. for my personal tastes, nothing touches NY pizza, not even italy. :p however, they are just so different, that i don't think anything really compares.

as patrick says, i love pizza. period. :D
